Wonderful Bonnie. I am glad your whole family is blessed by iodine. :)

still being amazed every day and now my dog

Hello everyone:

Things just keep getting better. My blood sugars keep getting better by the week and now on 11 Drops of Lugol's (68.75 mg.) and not really sure just how high I am supposed to take this. I am off Metformin which I took for 13 years and was told (and read) that it is very hard on the Kidneys, so glad to say goodbye to that drug.

My Naturopath who I asked to Guide me in this process even though he didn't put me on Iodine, said that I should use my Temperature as a Guide. This is a bit iffy, because of how easy it would be to have erratic temperatures each day, even though he said to take it, 3 hours after awakening. So I guess there are different ways to monitor progress.

The newest good news is my beloved, 13 year old dog (12 lb.) has elevated ALT (a liver enzyme) and the vet never really knew why but each week she would get nauseated and not eat, and sometimes twice a week. It was very upsetting as she would look terrified and run like hell, if she saw me with food. She has been on Iodine now for 3 weeks and not sick once. Dr. Brownstein has Liver Diseases on his LIST of what Iodine can treat, so I thought WHY NOT. She gets 1 drop in her 10 oz. water bowl daily.

Now I have started my husband on Lugol's and he isn't nearly so snarly at the end of the day after working and I am hoping that he will give up that NAP, each day that he's home. He seems to have more energy and he is only at 3 drops right now.

HALLELUJAH !!!!!

Congratulations! I haven't seen the positive blood sugar benefits, but I will maintain hope based on you report! On Oct 3, 2011, at 6:25 PM, Bonnie Cole wrote:
