Guest guest
i need help. sorry to put all my ailments together but they might be connected . I have taken benzos for years to get to sleep; I did a switch over to valium as it is considered less addictive. Nevertheless, i keep walking up at night and when i don't sleep i can't work the next day. if i sleep i am very energetic. This sleep is becoming a nightmare ; i could go back to a stronger benzo like minias or stilnox but apparently they are very addictive and more dangerous. I take about 15 to 20 mg (?) of valium a night my hypoadrenalism is worse than my hypothryoidism. I have always suffered from constipation but it has got worse and so has my allergic rhinitis. I now take nutrigest (recommended by Dr P) which contains hydrocholoric acid to digest my foods, otherwise i would immediately get flatulence. I feel the allergic rhinitis is connected to my digestive system cos i also have asthma but this has not worsened. I am careful with what i eat but nevertheless i have to take high doses of antihistamines every night. my oesonophilise (?) are very high. i also think the constipation is connected to it all. twice i thought it was was worms/negative flora and i took an anti worm medicine but the rhinitis reappeared after a day or 2. Lately i have noticed that both my middle fingers have become crooked, why?? I take 25/30 mg hc and 20 mcg t3. Ihave the most terrible memory problems. any ideas ?? thanks in advance
Guest guest
Berny, Before industrialisation people had very different sleep patterns. If you do a google search you'll see that they slept for about 4 hours, then woke up for a couple of hours and then had a second sleep of up to 4 hours. we're not designed to sleep 8 hours in one go. It might be worth trying to go to sleep as soon as it gets dark and then getting up when you wake and going back later... I know this sounds mad, but you never know.... People apparantly visited their friends, or did hobbies, or housework or had sex in the couple of hours they were awake.... (Take your pick ) When I was on Hc I found that if I didn't have enough to see me through the night, I would wake up starving as there wasn't enough hc to regulate the blood sugar, so the adrenalin kicks in and wakes you. I found a 2.5 mcg HC dose before bed time sorted me out. I no longer take HC, I do fine without it now. If you are hypothyroid, 20 mcg T3is not a massive dose, although it's the dose I took for years. When I took more (doubled it), my free t3 didn't double, it just raised by about 1 point The dosage instructions in the british national formulary say start on 10 or 20 mcg and can go up to 60 mcg (in split doses). Is it worth you trying more? x > > i need help. sorry to put all my ailments together but they might be connected ..
