What have we been saying for years about doctors not listening to patients?

They're very caring, but young GPs can't diagnose for toffee!

Well, grumpy old doctors like me still persist with the prehistoric idea that

it's possible to make a diagnosis simply by listening to a patient and examining

them carefully. Today's young doctors don't do any of this — they're too busy

almost falling over their feet in their rush to send patients for scans and

further tests.
