Guest guest
His name is Isadore Rubin. Hi Kristi, we got two evals within a one-month period. My son was diagnosed as severely autistic at 11 months old. The two devel peds were Dr. Bussey (678 560-3999) in Marietta and Dr. son-Lippitt (770 850- 8588) in Smyrna. They both did a great job and wrote very good, comprehensive, descriptive evals. Dr. N-L tends to have a very long wait list, but just ask to be put on the cancellation list. We did this and ended up getting an appointment within 2 weeks. > > HtH, > > > finding a doctor > > > Hello everyone > I am new to the group and I am so excited that so many people are sharing so much information with each other. > I do not have a child with autism. I do have a child with suspected ADHD, but he is still pretty small so we are taking the wait and see approach. > I am a special ed preschool teacher in a North Georgia county and I am trying to help one of my new students' family find a developmental pediatrician in the Atlanta/Gainesville area so that he can be formally diagnosed. > They have an appointment at the Marcus Institute, but evidently they only have one Dev Pediatrician and it will take over a year to get an appointment. > Does anyone know a good dev pediatircian who can give an autism diagnosis. > I evaluated the child last week to start our program and there is NO DOUBT in my mind that he is autistic. He was in my classroom for almost 2 hours, and Never acknowledged that I was even there. > His mother knows that he is autistic, she just isn't able to find a good doctor who can help them. > Anyone know anyone? > Thanks > Kristi > > > --------------------------------- > Don't be flakey. Guest guest
Hi Cecilia, I'm not looking for a Dr. In fact, they are adding my doctor to the list of helpful Docs. I am posting this for others to use in finding a Dr. This could save a lot of time, pain, and money for a lot of people. Those of you who are getting help should call these people and tell them what worked for you if you are well now as they keep a data bank on these things and keep the Morgellons group updated. For instance, the herpes and fungal conditions was unknown to them. They were happy to learn more and pass on the information. Guest guest
Blimey, you didn't live in Minnesota then LOL. We have 5-6 months under snow & temps below zero & as low as -34, then a week of spring, then it heats up & , with 10,000 lakes here, it's mozzie central, in fact they say the mosquito is the state bird LOL, then a week of autumn & back to snow & several months below zero. But, great schools if one has kidz. I miss the really long summer days (without mozzies) & the cosy snug winter nights without having to spend several months below zero. After 6 months of snow one can get to miss rain big time <grin>.Where's your boyfriend from Aggi?On 9 July 2011 21:35, Aggi <aggi_assmann@...> wrote:  My boyfriend is British, so we're visiting his family quite often. Guest guest
I'm sorry Krys. I can't even imagine that. My husband is from those parts too. I used to love snow as a child, when we would get a snow, but it would only come for one short period all year, but I've got a different take on it now. Sounds like way too much work, not to mention all the mozzies during the summer -- those would drive me bonkers. I know the mozzies are attracted to you like ticks are to me.From: "Krys Brennand" <krys109uk@...>bird mites Sent: Sunday, July 10, 2011 4:33:16 PMSubject: Re: Re: Finding a Doctor Blimey, you didn't live in Minnesota then LOL. Guest guest
Hi Krys, My boyfriend is from Darlington, close to Newcastle. He's from a family of 8, his mum is 85 years old and fit as a fiddle. She smokes about 2 packs of cigarettes a day and loves Bingo and Quality Street sweets ;-) But my favourite place so far is Whitby since we spent a day there one fine late summer. Guest guest
Hi , when reading your message I start thinking of getting the Doxy again, since hair and scalp still is a big issue. What has worked better for you, the mixture of essential oils or the Doxy? Besides, I am absolutely happy about your progress ! Last night we had shrimps for dinner. Put them in a little pan, sprinkled fresh garlic on, then poured olive oil on top, then 20 mins. in the oven until the oil sizzles. Served with a green salad. Absolutely delicious ! Started losing weight. From 112 pounds down to 110. Keep dreaming of ice cream ;-) > > > > > > > > From: Cecilia Borg <ceciliaborg@> > > > Subject: Re: Finding a Doctor > > bird mites > > Date: Wednesday, July 6, 2011, 8:56 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > THis sounds great, hope you get a catch! > > C > > > > > > > > From: Benton <sarahbenton48@> > > > bird mites > > Sent: Tue, July 5, 2011 10:21:47 PM > > Subject: Finding a Doctor > > > > > > > > My sister called, " In Need of Diagnosis Inc. Guest guest
Hi Cecelia, Yum! That shrimp sounds good. I'll try it after I get back from my trip. I think it's the Doxy massaged in the hair that is doing it. I say this as I was using the oils in my hair before I started the Doxy and remember having movement. It did not stop until the Doxy. I do Doxy in the day and oil at night. Guest guest
Hi Aggi,Your boyfriend is from a pretty large family for modern times. I'll bet bringing up 8 children will have kept your boyfriend's mum fit & active. ;~) Darlington, way up north. I'm from the south-east (of England)....a village near Epsom in Surrey, which is just south of London. Epsom is the home of the Engish Derby, horse race. For the last 20 years, prior to leaving UK, we lived in rural mid Wales, not far from Aberystwyth, all mountains, sea & fields ( & lots of sheep). I have been to Whitby, many years ago, & liked it.  The north-east countryside can be pretty, very wild & lonely looking. I have relatives in the north-west & in Yorkshire, which is south of Darlington. The Lake District, in the northwest, is very beautiful as is North Yorkshire, if you haven't already been they're both worth a visit. Guest guest
Thanks ,I'll tell my mother about the Doxycyline but I doubt she'd be able to get it. My mother has been very bad recently, with what souds like the mites again, though I never really know. :~(. Maybe the current heat & humidity in UK started this latest attack,.......... but she will do silly things like deciding to pull the vacuum cleaner apart & give it a thorough clean, which is what started this really bad bout. I'm sure my step-father would have done this for her. She now has a new doctor, who seems nice & at least listened to her, though he says he is out of his depth with this type of thing.....which is at least better than telling her it is all in her mind. Unfortunately he prescribed an anti fungal with hydrocortizone ointment to which she seems to be allergic. :~/ On 11 July 2011 08:01, Benton <sarahbenton48@...> wrote:  Krys,    It has been 21/2 weeks since I first started disolving one doxycicline pill in 4 tablespoons of water and then massaging into my scalp and absolutely NO movement has occured. No mats or tangles in my hair and no sign of the protozoa/amebia things. My entire body is herting fungal stuff and I haven't had a bug bother me for about 3 weeks. Hope this information helps your mother. Started dreaming about cloudy and rainy days, snuggling up on the couch with a blanket :-)) > > > > From: Cecilia Borg <ceciliaborg@...> > Subject: Re: Finding a Doctor > bird mites > Date: Wednesday, July 6, 2011, 8:56 AM > > > > > > > THis sounds great, hope you get a catch! > C > > > > From: Benton <sarahbenton48@...> > bird mites > Sent: Tue, July 5, 2011 10:21:47 PM > Subject: Finding a Doctor > > > > My sister called, " In Need of Diagnosis Inc. This is a group that listens to your symptoms and then tells you of a Dr. nearby that handles what you have.
