Guest guest
Hiya, I'm on the levo as well. I have been getting boil type things on my face, not just a normal spot because they don't seem to be squeezable but really painful, I have the bloated abdomen as well, it reminds me of when I was pregnant, huge weight gain which I'm not so sure it's down to the Levo, more that the Levo isn't working for me or that hypo symptoms are still there. Guest guest
Hi Could it be one of the other ingredients in your tabs ? They contain several other things as well as levothyroxine and many people cant tolerate lactose. I believe that can cause bloating though not sure about the skin problem you mention . I have a problem with tabs and am currently compaigning to get pure thyroxine prescribed. Maybe you could try that ? Guest guest
Are they more like patches with red dots at all ? Increased appetite and bloating and the spots could be from yeast, do you suffer with yeast problems or have you looked into it at all ? Guest guest
Hi Steve Thank you so much for your reply. No the spots are in single positions not patches. The yeast thing has occurred to me though. Thanks again for your reply. Take care. kind regards Vickyanne From: stehendie <stehendie@...>thyroid treatment Sent: Wednesday, 5 October 2011, 14:01Subject: Re: Levothyroxine and angry red spots Are they more like patches with red dots at all ?Increased appetite and bloating and the spots could be from yeast, do you suffer with yeast problems or have you looked into it at all ?Steve
Guest guest
Hi, I also used to get them, I can honestly say since coming off Levo I haven't had them. I used to get them on my upper legs and they would drive me mad at night. They were like heat spots, very random, not all in one place. I am lactose intolerant and I know Levo contains it in their fillers.Hope this helps.Diane Hi all Has anybody noticed that whilst taking levothyroxine they have broken out in angry red spots when previously they have never suffered with them. Also does levothyroxine cause a big increase in appetite and big bloating of the abdomen. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Guest guest
Hi Diane thanks for your reply. It does sound very much like you have described, boil like spots. Also the bloating. I strongly suspect it is the levothyroxine. Can levothyroxine do this. Thanks again for your reply. Guest guest
Often, bloating is caused by Gluten. Try cutting out all gluten and see if the bloating stops - I bet it will. Rashes can be caused by the fillers in the levothyroxine, but this can be overcome by asking your GP to prescribe you the Pure Thyroxine available through dale's Pharmacy. Luv - Sheila thanks for your reply. It does sound very much like you have described, boil like spots. Also the bloating. I strongly suspect it is the levothyroxine.
