Guest guest
Dear Sheila, There was another blitz on illicit/counterfeit drug manufacturers and import a day or so back and there may be knock-on effects due to this event. Guest guest
HI SHEILA Are there going to be any problems obtaining T3 Cynomel from Mexico, as although T3 is available on the NHS some GP'S are being difficult about prescribing it, so could we also be prevented from purchasing from abroad as well. Kathleen > > Hi Bob - yes, I am aware of this recent blitz, but they did make the point that unlicensed drugs that were being bought from Internet Pharmacies [Ed]
Guest guest
HI SHEILA I have now been able to increase T3 up to 1/4 of a 25mcg Cynomel twice a day. I am still on 25mcg of T4 as well taken at night. I will also say at this point that I would not have ended up in the bad state of health had I been treated from the word GO for HYPOTHYROIDISM. Would I be correct in saying that HYPOTHYROIDISM affects and weakens the muscles leading onto Gyny problems. I have received a copy of the letter from C & W with the make of the TVT, but along with it denials that this brand has caused problems, but they would wouldn't they. I have found out this to be not the case plus the fact that the makers do not accept responsibilty for any problems arising from their TVT, so it leaves the hospitals and NHS responsible. My GP asked me to see him to discuss this letter which he says is complicated, and this it may well be, right back to the sterilization OP when I first reported a problem, and never diagnosed with Hypothyroidism until already on a drug that made it worse, in turn causing incontinence with all the weight gain. Add to this not referring me back when things went wrong again in 2005. Kathleen > > Your guess is as good as mine Kathleen. Guest guest
To add to this latest Saga - I have, this morning, heard that one of our members saw a pharmacist in Brussels last week. Apparently, she normally keeps ample supplies of Armour Thyroid. However, the pharmacist told our member that Armour will no longer be available in Belgium as there will be an end to the supply of Armour right across Europe. She had about 20 bottles in stock and she said that was the last order she could make. Our member asked her if she meant that Forest had stopped the supply and she said no it is something else. I guess we will hear more about this later. Broda hold the marketing rights for Armour Thyroid and I will contact them to find out what the situation is and let you all know. For those who are being prescribed Armour Thyroid by the NHS, I can assure you that Erfa 'Thyroid', Nature Throid and Westhroid can be prescribed as an alternative according to the MHRA. If the above information is true, and you need to ask your GP to change your prescription and s/he should write the particular brand of natural thyroid extract you choose to use on the prescription form. If you would like a copy of the letter from the MHRA to say that doctors can prescribe Armour Thyroid, Erfa 'Thyroid', Nature Throid and Westhroid to show to your doctor, please let me know.
