It looks like they are saying it is a cyst on your thyroid but the cells are benign in nature. So taking iodine and the companion nutrients would be a good plan to consider.

As for your blood labs your D3 is very low. Optimum levels are 50-70 (I am assuming this is a 25 Hydrox level they measured) TSH isn't a thyroid hormone - it is pituitary but most endo's hang their hat on this one to dx a thyroid issue. You want Free T3 and Free T4 to do that. Also I noticed there were no antibody levels checked. You should ask to see a TPO Ab and Tg Ab to make sure you do not have Hashimotos which is common with thyroid nodules.

Need help with my test result

Hi all;I have posted before about my 3.5 mm nodule and I finally got my medical records and would like to share it here and ask for feedback on what is going on with my thyroid.ULTRASOUND RESULTThe right lobe has a normal appearance. The left lobe of the thyroid measures 5.7 x 3.1 x 2.9 cm. There is a 3.7 x 2.9 3cm heterogeneous, primarily cystic lesion with a large solid mural component located in the mid aspect of the thyroid. There is another 5x8x4mm hypoechoic nodule located in the superior aspect of the left lobe.IMPRESSION3.7cm predominantly cystic lesion located in the midpolar region of the left lobe. This lesion possesses a significant solid mural component. further evaluation with biopsy would be beneficial.FNA RESULT-The first fna was non-diagnostic- cyst contents consisting of numerous macrophages, scanty proteinaceous material and red blood cells.- The second FNA - occasional small tissue fragments showing benign follicular epithelium, consistent with hyperplastic nodule (goiter)BLOOD TEST RESULTVIT D D3 26VIT D D2 <4TSH, 3RD GEN 2.88T4, FREE 1.1That's all in my thyroid report. I will be meeting with the endo on the 2nd and would like to be prepared with my questions and concernAny guidance is appreciated.

Thank you for the input. Actually, the doctor who ordered these tests was my internist and she refred me to an endo which I will see for the first time on the 2nd.I will definitely ask the endo about the free t3 and freet4 you mentioned. As for the iodine and the companion nutrients, I am currently taking, 2 x 12.5mg iodine , 200mg selenium and 400 mg magnesium, and a dosage of powdered vit c.I am also doing the celtic salt water.I started with 1 tablet of iodoral and after a week of no detox symptoms, I increased it to 2 tabs a

day.I am thinking on the third week I will increase it to 3 tabs a day and then the 4th I will increase it to 4 tabs a day. My ultrasound is scheduled on Nov. 14, I am praying that my thyroid will have some improvements. My doctor is like so eager to cut my throat out. Will it ok to up my intake of iodoral in a week?Thank youFrom: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>iodine Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2011 7:09 PMSubject: Re: Need help with my test result

It's totally ok to up your dosage in a week. The presence of detox symptoms

that

you can't cope with is the only determinant of how fast and how much you can

ramp up.

You are in charge of whether you have surgery or not, and not your doctor. Your

test results DO NOT indicate any malignancy to be worried about, and even if it

did

many people are successfully choosing the iodine protocol over surgery. So

don't

let them railroad you. Surgery will accomplish nothing but rob you of health--

there

is nothing for surgery to do to protect you from anything (because you don't

have

anything malignant) and only negatives involved in getting it. Most important,

surgery will not correct the actual baseline problem here, which is iodine

deficiency.

When I started I went right to 50 mgs. My husband started at 37.5 mgs. You sound like you have a good plan of attack. :)
