Guest guest
Hi All, I have been taking Betaine HCL once a day for a couple of weeks. I find that I do not feel so uncomfortable after my main meal – but I have noticed something else. . . . . For years I have had palpitations – I have discussed this with Dr P and asked him if it could be linked to the Vagus nerve. He said that from my description I could have a sensitive Vagus nerve. My palpitations were worse when I needed to have a poo and I used to feel a `bubbling' feeling after eating a meal and palpitations used to be more noticeable then. Since taking the Betaine I have noticed that my palpitations have decreased to a point where my pulse seems to be almost even most of the time. It could be that some people with palpitations have a sensitive Vagus nerve and that low stomach acid is making things worse. Has anyone noticed any decrease in their palpitations after taking Betaine? B
Guest guest
Not personally but I have researched this as part of my problems, and i wondered if the problem for me was that erosion due to acid reflux had left the vagus nerve exposed HCL is supposed to stop acid reflux if you're low in acid, so perhaps that's helped things heal? Just a thought. Chris > > Hi All, > > I have been taking Betaine HCL once a day for a couple of weeks.
