It can increase your metabolic rate through better thyroid function. Hunger shortly after you have eaten can be a sign that you are not getting enough nourishment or consuming enough good fats. Your body knows what it needs to be healthy and will continue to call for food even if you have eaten when you do not supply it with the necessary healthy / nutritional foods.

Good point Ali. You will also tend to crave carbs and salt with adrenals.
