I have searched previous posts here and there does seem to be a little confusion over whether to use the Wellspring or the "original" serenity cream. I have used Wellspring for about 6 months now and hot flushes went but I am still left with some anxiety. A friend suggested I tried the "original" serenity. I am still waiting for it to be delivered as it has not been despatched yet a week after ordering. But in reading comments they have made about Wellspring has got me worried about the Wellspring product. The original company says this about them.

quoteThe company in Wellsprings was an approved sales agent in the UK in the past, but in February of 2007, they separated from us and illegally retained our trademarked name, and purchased cream from a company that was rejected by Health Science for lack of Good Manufacturing Practices. If you look at their ingredients, you will find a plethora of harmful, unhealthy petrochemicals and other unnatural ingredients.unquote

That is only part of their comments but the part that concerned me most. They also, by implication, indicated wellspring use chinese progesterone and not sourced in the USA.

quote...... we have spared neither time nor expense to make the Original Serenity Natural Progesterone Cream the best it possibly can be, free of harmful petro-chemicals and Chinese progesterone. unquote

If you would like me to post the whole of the comment the original company made, I will, just that is is rather long, so just posted extracts here for now.

I have contacted Wellspring for their comments on this and will post back when I hear from them, but just wondered what people here thought. I have been trying to use as natural ingredients as possible with all medication I take.

Here are the ingredients for Wellspring Serenity product:Deionised Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Vegetable Oil, Glycerin, USP Natural Progesterone (2.34%), Isopropyl Myristate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetyl Alcohol, PEG-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Stearic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA, d-alpha Tocopherol, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, GermabenII`, AMP95. (Merest trace of commonly-used preservatives added due to the ineffectiveness of natural preservatives)

Here are the ingredients for the "original" product:Organic Aloe Vera ( Barbadensis)Organic Jojoba Oil - Most Harmonious Oil with Human SkinMSM - Excellent for Healthy JointsGreen Tea Extract - Powerful Anti-Oxidant; Helps Prevent Skin WrinklingVegetable Emulsifying Complex (Coconut & Palm) Bio-Identical Progesterone USP (Manufactured Exclusively in the U.S.A.)Hyaluronic Acid - Natural Skin HumectantVegetable GlycerinGluconolactone - Ecocert Approved PreservativeSodium Benzoate - Ecocert Approved PreservativeOrganic Eucalyptus Oil - Ecocert Approved Preservative

I have to say my loyalties lay with Wellspring, they have always been so helpful over the phone, delivery has be super quick whereas so far the original company doesnt respond to emails, product still not despatched even though a week since I ordered.

But I am confused now as to which product is best. Is it just a matter of whichever works best stay with, or do the ingredients really matter more. Other people's comments appreciated.

The original company sells from here: http://www.progesterone.org.uk/Wellspring from here: http://www.progesterone.co.uk/
