Guest guest
We were given a brilliant tip by a podiatrist.. that is to use neat hydrogen peroxide on them.. If it fizzes with white foam there is infection.. Keep hydrogen peroxide on the whitlow for up to 30 seconds them rinse in cold water.. This is a brilliant product for all infections.. excellent when I cut the tip off my finger and it became infected.. healed quickly without a scar!!Tracey On Mon, Sep 19, 2011 at 8:54 AM, Sheila <sheila@...> wrote: I am stuck right now with my finger stuck in a cup of very hot water with some tcp in it, that's why I cannot put in capital letters. the last one I had was on my thumb and it had to be lanced. it's worse today than yesterday, very swollen but not yet coming to a head, luv - sheila Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post | Start a New Topic Messages in this topic (4) Recent Activity: New Members 17 New Links 1 New Files 4 Visit Your Group TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
No, still swollen and still fighting to come to a head. the tip is bright red, swollen and hard and very shiny with the hint at the side of the nail that something is there fighting to surface. I did the hydrogen peroxide soak and left it for 30 seconds and then rinsed it with cold water. I have taken 2 lots of 2 capsules of Wild Oregano Oil, will take more today, and keep plunging the poor finger into very hot water and leaving it until it starts to cool. I stuck it in a lemon too, which did seem to relieve the pain a bit but now run out of lemons - perhaps that, and the peroxide should be used when it shows it is coming to a head. All I can think is that this one must be buried deep and is taking a long time to surface, but OH! the relief when it does. This morning I have an appointment at the dentist and I think I will ask him to inject the finger to make it dead LOL! Luv - Sheila PS - I am a touch typist and now I keep making tons of mistooks without the use of my Index finger. Hi Sheila, I think you are wearing out your digits with all your typing ................... Make sure your keyboard is cleaned regularly as it could be bacteria from one whitlow spreading to other fingers by way of the keyboard/mouse etc. I hope you now have your finger back on the keys instead of being stuck in the pot !!! best wishes Mandy
Guest guest
Good idea and I will try this Chris. Luv - Sheila I used to get lots of colds at work and I wonder if it was from the cloth the cleaners used on every desk spreading the germs around-they never put disinfectant on it This sounds neurotic but I now use this on the keyboard http://www.milton-tm.com/antibacterial_surface_spray.html Anyone who knows me knows I am not normally obsessed with tidying, cleaning etc but was sick of getting colds. Since using it I've not had anymore but others have. I give keyboard a good spray and leave it. Hasn't harmed my keyboard but if in doubt.... _,___
Guest guest
As this subject is really off topic would you please continue this discussion in the chat group.Lilian I am the same - my desk drawer is full of gloves and wipes that I use on my desk all the time..........the cloth they use to clean looks a little dodgy to me.
