Guest guest
Hi Trisha, I understand what you are saying, but once a topic veers away from iodine, we want further discussion of it (such as bentonite clay)to be continued on the Off Topic List. We created this list just for that purpose. We get many new members daily and when the topic is no longer about iodine, it can be confusing to new folks. Thanks, Kathleen * Kathleen, Re: Betonite Clay Kathleen,I saw your prior comment but not until I had written a follow up inquiry regarding betonite. However, I do feel there IS some relevance, though indirect, given that betonite can aide in the detoxificationprocess of iodine related signs and symptoms. Clearly, if a topic becomes a run away one that might be different, but of note, there were a few responses which clearly revealed interest in the subject. Respectfully, Trisha

Guest guest
Bobbi There are some cheap things you can do. If you have swelling & inflammation - try soaking in a bath with a couple of cups of Epsom salts. You can also add hydrogen peroxide (1/2-1 cup), sea salt, baking soda. I have seen iodine tincture (for external use) at CVS for under $5 for a small bottle. You can apply that to your skin but do not take orally. It seems that the cheapest source of Lugol's is eBay - about $7-8 for a bottle plus shipping. Can you cut back anywhere in your budget to get a bottle of Lugol's? or the ingredients if you can mix your own? Wishing you well! Kendra PS: Do you shop with coupons? (I'm also retired on disability and I help my budget by shopping with coupons.)
