LP, I do have severe cramps at night in my calves and feet.  They’ve improved since I’ve stopped taking the Magnesium.  I do believe they come from a Ca/Mg imbalance.  It sounds like potassium factors in there as well.  I have some malabsorption issues though, so I don’t know what minerals are actually making it through and what aren’t. I definitely understand where you’re coming from.  It wakes me up in a violent fashion and I have to grab my foot or calve until the pain passes and the muscle relaxes.  Throughout the day, I do sometimes get occasional twitching too.  Sounds like ’s advice will work for you. When I went to the vrp site and entered Vit C/Ca/K/Mg, I couldn't find it. What is the name of it? They are having a " buy two, get one free " sale.

Are those muscles sore the next day? It could be either potssium or sodium deficiency. I was on a sodium (salt) restricted diet when pregnant, had cramps in both legs from my hips to me toes. I went to the kitchen, put salt in my hand, ate it, and those cramps stopped.

For what it is worth (and we all all apparently very different) I was

having cramps or maybe nerve pain in my upper thighs for some time.  I

know it is not the LDN, so I back off of my other supplements and added

then added them on one by one.  I still could not figure it out.

Nothing was consistent. I did lose some of the "cramps." So when I

started back on my supplements, I noticed the Calcium Citrate Plus I

was taking from GNC (Vit D as Cholecalcifreal) 800 IU, Calcium (as

Calcium Citrate) 800 mg and Magnesium (as Magnesium Oxide) 400 mg) said

take 4 per day. I had been taking only one.  I also take Vit D3 10,000

IU (also GNC), and Chelated Magnesium (as amino acid chelate) 100mg.

Once I increased the Calcium Citrate Plus to 4/day I have not had the

"cramps" return.  I have also been taking 12.5mg of "Tri-Iodine" twice

a day for about the last 3 weeks. But I noticed the improvement quickly

after I increased the Calcium Citrate Plus just this past week.

help.  Eating bananas daily also.  You may also want to try homepathic

calcium.

Yes. i did. i got them above the knee on the inside of the leg. it was hideous. my daughter got married two weeks ago and for two days i didn't get my supplements into me and at the reception, my toes were curling, pulling apart, i had to just stand there and try to work them out. i would try the epsom salts, along with a potassium tablet. 99 mg is what you get. and with the mag. (and i use the calcium and it works fine) but that is me. but it took away my cramps. i also use selenium 200 mg along with folic acid and b12.. diane, near philly, pa On Sep 29, 2011, at 8:38 AM, Donna Iler wrote: It could be that you have too much calcium. You could have too much calcium, which can cause cramping. Our lifestyle in general easily gets calcium, but is difficult to get magnesium.
