Guest guest
When you start taking adrenal supplements you should stop thyroid medication for seven days and then you can start taking them again. This is because when your adrenals start to become boosted, it can cause the thyroid hormone to 'dump' into the cells (which they couldn't do before) and this might cause a temporary over stimulation of thyroid hormones giving you symptoms of hyperthyroidism. It has it on the Patient Information Leaflet of thyroxine and T3 that you should not take these medications if you have hypoadrenalism. Luv - Sheila Yesterday I posted (90254) about having weird reaction to taking Adreno Max - high colour and meat cravings. I have since read a post advising someone to come off thyroxine (or NDT, not sure which) before starting NAX. Is it dangerous to take Adreno Max if I am already on 50mcgs of Levothyroxine? and could this have been the reason for the weird reaction? I decided to start taking Adreno Max because my Saliva Test came back showing that Cortisol levels were quite low (but just inside range) but my DHEA levels were really low and needed adrenal support. _,___
Guest guest
Hi Sheila - thanks for that tip - there is so much to learn. I stopped the NAX as soon as I got `heated up`. I will try this out in a few weeks after I`ve had my 6 week blood test at the docs. Thanks again for being there. Love Jane. > > When you start taking adrenal supplements you should stop thyroid medication > for seven days and then you can start taking them again.
