Most would agree that it is best to judge people by what is

inside and not by their looks. However it is as important to put

your best foot forward. After all first impressions do matter.

What do we mean by a professional look?

The way you dress conveys a message about how you view yourself

and the importance that you place on your business. It is

important to pay attention to all facets of grooming to put your

best self forward.

Tips to consider:

* While choosing clothes and accessories keep in mind your job

profile. Be sure that the clothes you select are appropriate to

your position.

* Neatness and cleanliness are a given.

* Do not use overpowering fragrances.

* Polished shoes and pressed clothes are crucial.

* Err on the side of being overly conservative in selecting

colors for a suit.

* White shirts add a certain sophistication to your appearance.

* A smile can brighten up your face.

Things to avoid:

* Avoid body piercing or tattoos.

* Unkempt hair is a big NO!

* Too much make up will make you look as if dressed for a party.

Avoid too bright colors on your face.

* Too many accessories look out of place in conservative

business settings. Keep your jewelry to a minimum.

Climbing the professional ladder will require you to work hard in

many ways. Don't undermine all of your efforts with an

inappropriate appearance.

Your individuality does not have to suffer in order to make the

proper business impression. There are still ways in which to

express yourself while following the specific parameters of

acceptable business attire and appearance.

While preparing your wardrobe for success do not hesitate to

spend some time and attention on your facial appearance as well.

Dark circles and puffy eyes do not convey the appearance of

someone who is fresh and eager to work. No matter how prepared

you are for your day, eyes that are not clear will make you look

like you a struggling to make the grade.

There are many reasons that your eyes may look puffy and dark but

finding the right solution for your particular problem is

important. Investigate the possible causes of dark circles, such

as allergies, heredity, pollution and any health concerns.

Identify the problem, causes and possible solutions. These many

include home remedies and cosmetics to conceal the problem.

Longer term solutions may be topical creams that work over time

to reverse dark circles and puffiness. Many positive things have

been said about one cream that we have investigated. It is

Eyederma which is available from the BodeStore at

http://www.bodestore.com and Amazon. Eyederma contains a

combination of peptides and Vitamin K, which when used in the

correct concentrations, deliver impressive results as a

rejuvenator of the skin surrounding the eyes.
