Joyce and everyone:

Iodine DOES NOT kill probiotic organisms, period, EVER. Please disabuse

yourself of this idea. If iodine killed the probiotics, those of us on the

iodine

protocol would have widespread, new gastrointestinal distress and that is very

far

from the case. Many poeple's guts improve on iodine. Mine certainly has, and I

actually STOPPED daily probiotic supplementation and only do it once a week or

so now (supplementation as opposed to probiotic foods, I like to include

probiotic

foods frequently).

Iodine and probiotics are completely compatible. There is science about the

biochemistry involved why this is so. Something about negative and positive

charges.
