Hi Marci

Really need to consult a homeopath for something like this as it is part

of a larger picture and not a minor acute or first aid type thing that you

can treat on your own.

I have some I can refer to that do phone consults.

Thanks

We have used Tea tree oil. Some are allergic to this,so test with a small

amount. You could also try a homeopathic remedy that matches up.A homeopath would

have an easier time of it,but you could try deciding on a remedy on your

own.Clean the home very well too.Grapefruit seed extract and Tea tree oil do

well.

old has it on her back and I am starting to think she has it on her

scalp as well. While researching her condition I am thinking that I

have it on my scalp, and have had it for about 6 months. I just found

out I am pregnant and not sure what is the best way to treat this.

Thanks

My son got this all of the time from mats used in high

school wrestling.

Wash the skin with vinegar...I tried to be sure the

mats were clean also but that was often beyond my

control...

Whenever you STOP a symptom with a drug or an herb or teatree oil you are

not doing the body any favors. You are stopping a symptom that the body

is using to try to dissipate a disturbance.

Teatree oil is ANTI just like a drug

Homeopathy is 180 degrees opposite - works with the symptoms, helps the

symptom to be effective.

I will nver recommend any suppression with drugs or teatree oil.

You are not dealing with the disturbance the is wh it is happening.

but still - did everone on those mats get ringworm?

It is about susceptibility and dealing with that is the most important

than stopping a sympto

Just one year ago I would have thought the same about using tea tree

oil for treating a rash etc. but now, after starting on Sheri's hom.

course, I really understnd why this is not good for the body.

Hom. has taught me so much more than simple alt. med. ways of treating

diseae. It is much more than that, it teaches you and makes you aware

of the wisdom of the human body and why it does what it does.

We used iodine a couple times a day when our dogs got it. It worked great and

hasn't come back. I've also heard tea tree oil works.

Thanks I will try that. How long do you think it took until it was gone?

We have 4 other dogs and two cats I am hoping that they do not get it.

Do you know of any prevention?

It took a few days to a week. I don't know about any particular prevention, but

I suppose if there is a prevention it would be proper vitamins, minerals and

diet! It sounds like you take good care of your dog though. Ours are also on a

raw diet with supplemental minerals & vitamins. We had just gotten a puppy and

were babysitting 2 others when they ALL got it. I know the puppies didn't come

from a home where they were eating well, so my guess is that they brought it

with.

Good luck, and have patience!

I have cured ringworm quickly by dusting the site with diatomaceous earth, gone

in a few days. I used it all the time on the cows and cats. Wash well after

touching the site. I also use DE for fleas and worms. June

tte De Baraclai Levy`s *bible* one of the very first herbals for cat`s

and dogs, dating back to the 1940`s has the very best recipe for getting rid

of all kinds of beasties, including ringworm , her Lemon Lotion , which is

basically 12 lemons halved . steeped in a glass gallon jug of hot water to

draw out the natural oils in the lemons--then keep in the fridge for months --

keep topping up the water and removing and replacing the lemons only when they

get moldy.. you cover the infection site completely until it disappears--

I have raised all raw fed -grain free English Bulldogs and Beardies for 12

years, and use the lemon lotion more as a rinse diluted --I wouldn't be

without it -makes a great mosquito spray and rinse instead of all those

health compromising preventatives,

I get mine from a supplier in Sartell. I buy food grade Diafil. There are

other suppliers in MN. If you get Acres I think is one listed there. I paid

about $15.00 for a 50# bag but I stocked up and have not purchased any for

several years. When we had the cattle I used about 1,000#'s a year. It is like

hydrogen peroxide, I wouldn't be without it. I keep a 'kill jar' with some in

on the shelf to drop the ticks in all summer. I sprinkle it on the floor of the

chicken house to keep the lice down and outside where they take a dust bath. I

put a small amount on the cats so when they wash it helps to worm them. We used

to have a problem with the cattle getting ringworm around their eyes and I would

just dip my hand in the DE and swipe it across their eye for a few days to get

rid of it. June

yes, i made the mistake of sitting down naked on a bench at the Chelsea

Recreation Center last year...within 1 day or two i had ringworm on the

exact spot where bone presses against the flat surface. took two very

celibate weeks of antifungal cream to get rid of it.

best part is i was nice enuff to avoid my all fuckbuds during that

time, and 3 of them acted like i was radioactive when i told them why.

all 3 guys r poz, mind you...and all 3 r distant memories now, now

matter how much they try not to be. :D

Tea tree oil works for us. It is very contagious. Keep applying stuff for a week or so after it’s gone too and wash clothes/pillowcase in hot water daily. No vinegar???

When I got my two cats, they each had ringworm... EVERYONE got at lest one spot.

We tried TTO, and all it seemed to do was stop it from getting larger. When we

used Braggs ACV, it was gone in a few days. We also cut nothing from out diet,

but we have a no cane sugar, vegan, gluten free diet so.....

HTH!

Makes sense, since ringworm is a fungal infection.

Since iodine is an antifungal, will it kill ringworm if applied to the area. It

is for my son, the doctor diagnosed him with scabies but come to find out a year

later with lots of insane treatments it is ringworm. I had found a treatment

for scabies that seemed to work for a short time on the places (we thought were

scabies but here ringworm) but then it comes back. I mixed 5% lugols in lard

and spread over him. The course for scabies is once a week unless breakouts

occur. I just want to know if I should treat him twice a day for three weeks

with my current treatment add turmeric or if I should go get the fungal cream

that can be hard on the liver? I have read that though some herbal remedies may

keep it a bay it does not kill the fungus. I wanted to know your thoughts on

that.

Thanks
