Guest guest
Hi, New to group I am on the natural thyroid and adrenal groups.Used synthroid 4years for primary hypothyroid (neg antibodies 2007)Changed to Armour about two months ago because of continued symtoms with synthetic ,especially brain fog and mentation(going back to school)I am healthy except thyroid stuff ,55yo female post menapause taking estrogene, and progesterone ,3 grains armour, Adrenal cortex ,and vitamins and supplements .Had some betadine solution and painted patch last night about 7p and was almost gone at 8a.Do I need tintcture or is this ok for patch test?If not I will get Tincture of iodine. Labs 1/19/11 Iron 128(50-170) TIBC 293(250-450) Ferritin 110(8.0-252.0) MCH 32.3(27-32) apparently increased red blood cell size Thyroid labs 9/7/11 (Armour 1grain started 7/26/11 and increased to 3grains at time of blood draw) TSH <0.005 (0.358-3.740) T4free 1.35(0.76-1.46) T3free 3.8 (2.0-3.5) I messed up my 4 level cortisol --did it to soon after(10days)after a medical procedure and it was really high, need to redo when I can afford it and stop adrenal products! Brain fog really improved about 1 month into taking Armour but is back ,everything is still better than when on Synthroid, but not as good as the first weeks that I switched to Armour? My Doctor did not freak over low TSH and said to continue present dosage, but I still feel Hypo and am trying to optimize and return function as close to my normal as possible especially neurological problems.Trying to change careers from Respiratory therapist to Palliative and End of Life Navigator with just have a few classes to finish and it is much harder than it should be for me I think due to thyroid problems. Thanks for reading sorry for length but, thought some history would be helpful, Sandy
