Guest guest
, I can't answer all your questions but I will try to help. 1. The idea that taking iodine will mess up an iodine-contrast-injection-scan is erroneous. They are not the same thing, and dietary iodine does not affect the contrast injection. I would suggest returning to the iodine protocol, but you shouldn't take the Iodoral unless you are also taking ALL of the companion nutrients. Are you taking the companion nutrients? 2. To protect your kidneys and ameliorate any adverse affects you should take NAC, N-Acetyl-Cysteine. I would take 600mg, 4 times a day for at least a week. You can get it at any health food store or vitamin store, and possibly regular pharmacies in the vitamin area. Also, keep yourself VERY well hydrated, including electrolytes. 4. I have been unable to find a side effect of heart pounding listed in the medical/patient literature about iodine contrast agent injections. That doesn't mean it isn't a side effect, however. Why don't you ask your doctor? Thyrroid medication: The idea that you would become " addicted " to thyroid medication is silly. If you don't have adequate thyroid function, you need to have replacement hormones. If your thyroid isn't working, in whatever form, you're going to need thyroid hormone replacement for life (unless you are among the small group that will be able to overcome the dysfunction). Since it's a given that thyroid medication is a lifelong requirement, the idea that a person can be " addicted " is just not accurate. Please remember that even a doctor who is often correct can be wrong about other things. Unfortunately. The kidney issue is not universal. It's only if you have impaired kidney function to start with. And, your kidney function can be tested to see if it is adequate before you take the bronchitis med. I'm not a big Pharma fan myself, but you should be aware of the facts, and not just go on your fears. Here is a link that discusses the potential of kidney issues and under what circumstances they may occur: http://www.insideradiology.com.au/pages/view.php?T_id=21 Yes, it's a document made by radiologists, but it looks like the information is the standard information. Included in that information is the recommendation for taking NAC to cure/prevent kidney issues following iodine contrast agent injection. I can't really answer your other questions. -- On 13 Sep 2011 at 20:59, wrote: > I went for the 3rdt time this week to ER. Guest guest
Hi , Thak you for answering me! I did 2 CT scans in 2 days! Firts one was for my headaches (without contrast injection)the second one with injection for a possible pulmonary embolism. There was a bronchitis. 1.They tested my T3 and TSH without my permission and they found my T3 12 instead of 6 (normal. My TSH was 0.014 and a doc was scarred that I had hyperthyroid. Could this be because I took my Erfa+iodine at 10 am and they tested 5 hours after? 2.They told me that I'm hyper with this TSH (I know the problem of TSH). I'm scared about being hyper because I have bigger breasts than before (I read that is a sign of hyper), I had itching (saw as sign of hyper), when I was hypervetilating i didn't have muscle strength. When I come back to normal from hyperventilation my body become normal. My doctor is a dump, he prescribes Erfa but he test only TSH... so I have no doctor to talk to... 3. When I was doing the CT Scan they told me that I'll feel me neck warm. Since to day I feel my neck is weird, as I had something on my neck. Can this be the iodine injection? 4. Can I take Iodine without magnesium because I have bubbles in my urin and I have to test my urine proteinuiria. If my kidney doesn't filter correctly, I read that we shouldn't take magnesium because it can give renal failure. Can I take iodine without magnesium? 5.So do you think that I should take the brochitis medication? Isn't iodine good for bronchitis? 6.Could those 2 CT Scans kill my thyroid? Should I peint it a little iodine? 7. Last week my husband a strong flu, he was very tired, breathless, I took care of him and the next day I felt sick and very very weak. Could this bronchitis that I have worsen my condition by lowering my cortisol? I had 98/58 and 114 heart beat and breathless (more that my husband). When I took iodine + Ashwafanda I felt better, I could walk, did some shoping but my doc told me to take melatonin because it's antiviral and it could help me with bronchitis. Well, I took the melatonin which helps me time to time with the sleep but this time I was worse and I went again to ER for the 3rd time. Can bronchitis, flu give the low cortisol? Because the dr from ER wanted to send me a psychiatrist...OMG... I told them that I felt very strong in my head but my body doesn't want to follow. thank you very much sorry for this long message, > > > I went for the 3rdt time this week to ER.
