Guest guest
> At the November meeting Dr. K had on the over head something about calcium and so much was going on that we never got to it. I saw that caffeine does something to the calcium. I enjoy tea and wondered if you can drink decaf tea or coffee? > > Thanks > Barbara > Tea (even herbal) is high in oxulate which binds with calcium and can contribute to kidney stones. With anything...a little can be ok...a lot can lead to trouble. If you enjoy one cup of tea or coffee and your not becoming deficient in anything and your not having problems with kidney stones than enjoy the cup...but you may want to re-think a pots worth..lol Jo
Guest guest
I keep seeing references to take calcium as one of the supplements but it is not listed in the supplement list on the new member’s doc. Is calcium needed and if so how much do you take? I also take from 1200 to 2400 mg of magnesium a day, is this ok?Ann

It is recommended to take 400 mg of magnesium. Is there a reason you are taking so much magnesium?
