Guest guest
I'm a new member to this list (several weeks) and have read the reference materials as instructed. Although, I must admit, it was very difficult for me to read much of the information in the files because of the 'decorative' text it was printed in... My question, as a 'newbie' is: does using iodine as a supplement to improve health and minimize the risks of breast cancer (I was diagnosed on July 13, 2011 and had my mastectomy on Aug. 10) and/or it's recurrence always have to be so difficult? From reading this list for the past few weeks it seems so difficult to use this supplement! One has to take a half dozen 'companion supplements' as well as perform regular 'detox' in order to tolerate the treatment? I started off so excited to learn that there is something natural that I could do to improve my health, as opposed to chemo or radiation, but the more I read, the more it sounds like the protocol is difficult at best, if not dangerous to utilize. Maybe I was looking for an 'easy way out' but I don't think that I want to have to focus my whole life around one particular supplement. Is iodine useless or harmful if just taken as a direct supplement ~ ie 50mg/day? How do those of you who use the iodine protocol go about getting frequent blood tests? Is this something I could just ask my general practitioner to order? Would they know what to test for and how to interpret the results? Perhaps this is too confusing to be useful for me... :-(
