Guest guest
That's great Lori! The thyroid can swell in an effort to capture more iodine. Your body may be *seeing* the increased amounts and attempting to capture more. It may also be kicking out halides. I would say it is a good sign that it has gone back down tonight. My husband has hashi's and he started at 37.5 and then jumped to 50 mgs and actually felt better. I hope this is your experience as well. His antibodies were eliminated through the protocol. Buist, ND HC Lori - newbie updating Hi all,I know most of you don't know me but I will update you as I progress with this new introduction of iodine into my life. I am hoping not to experience troubles with my Hashimotos as I increase my dosages.Right now, I am up to 37.5 mg plus cofactors along with 4,000 C and salt water (celtic). So far so good. I am increasing in energy all the time. Today my nodule did swell a lot. But it seems to have gone down tonight. I am going to keep going at 37.5 this week and if all goes well, I will up to 50 mg. next week. Thanks and I hope someone writes to me! Guest guest
Hi Lori and welcome! Thank you for sharing your good news! Yes, your thyroid is probably swelling up a bit to capture the iodine it really needs. Good to hear the swelling has gone down tonight. Hope you are taking Selenium and Magnesium as well as the nutrients you mentioned. Keep up the good work! Best, Kathleen Lori - newbie updating Hi all,I know most of you don't know me but I will update you as I progress with this new introduction of iodine into my life. Guest guest
Lori - I, too, am a Hashi's newbie to iodine. I started on Aug 1 at 12.5mg Iodoral and am up to 50mg. I've had incredible energy for the whole month and few detox symptoms. Hashi's hasn't been a problem for me on the protocol. Guest guest
Thank you and everyone who responded to my post re hashis symptoms. Very happy to meet you all. , I am so glad to know that your husband's antibodies were eliminated. This is music to my ears. I have not done any testing recently. Maybe I will go and get a baseline just so when I am all better, I can show others in numbers! I feel that hopeful. I am taking one 12.5 three times a day with the suggested minerals. Interestingly enough, I had started drinking a quart or more of sea salt water on my own prior to knowing about this protocol. It helped me not get a migraine or nauseous after exercising. I'll check in again when I start the 50 mg. Thanks again and have a great day everyone, Lori -It may also be kicking out halides. I would say it is a good sign that it has gone back down tonight. Guest guest
The idea that there could be " trouble " with Hashi's on iodine supplementation is part of the BIG LIE about iodine that gets told by the medical community. Don't buy into it. There is no such thing as a bad effect on Hashi's. Please read the section on Hashi's in the New Member Document, which is a long section quoted directly from Dr Brownstein's book on Iodine. -- On 31 Aug 2011 at 22:49, margee wrote: > > > > Lori - I, too, am a Hashi's newbie to iodine.
