Guest guest
Hi Bonnie....As far as Lyme disease...I don't think iodine has been any help. What iodine is helping me with is improving my thermograms. Also an ovarian cyst I've had for years is decreasing in size since I have been taking iodine. V > > Dear : > > How awful for you. Guest guest
Hi - how long has it taken for your cyst to decrease in size? I have a cyst on my right ovary and am hoping to see a difference when I go in for my next wellness exam. Have been on 175 mg Lugols for a few months now. Guest guest
: You mean by Thermograms, the Thermography used to detect breast tumours? Yes, Iodine is good for that and I'm hoping it will keep me from having a Hysterectomy as I am full of fibroids, but we shall see. Guest guest
Hi , I have it checked every year, and for the past 3 years it has been getting smaller. Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, yes. I get a thermogram every 6 months due to so much breast cancer in my family. Hopefully with that and other options I will avoid it. V > > > > Dear : > > > > How awful for you. Guest guest
, I wouldn't really expect oral iodine to help Lyme arthritis of the joints because there's not enough blood flow into the synovium or the cartilage. Have you considered painting iodine on the affected joints? BTW, I'll be off-line for the rest of the Labor Day weekend, so if I miss seeing any messages directed at me about iodine usage for Lyme, then please hold your fire until next week, OK? Remember though, I don't have any personal experience in using iodine for treating Lyme. My thoughts are merely hypothetical, based on what I've learned over the years about the pathophysiology of Lyme disease and on what I'm starting to learn now about iodine therapy. > > > > Dear : > > > > How awful for you. Guest guest
Hypothetically I think since Lyme is a tough disease to eradicate since it is a spirochete that a large amount of oral Iodine would be needed - at least 100 mg or even much more. Guest guest
Painting directly over affected areas is highly successful. It's quite true that there is not a lot of blood flow into cartilage, but direct absorption over the area does work. I've painted when my knees hurt and had the pain disappear. btw, when painting just for a day or two I don't use an oil carrier. If I were painting for the long term I would be using one. -- On 3 Sep 2011 at 11:03, Kathy Turetzky wrote: > > > > Hypothetically I think since Lyme is a tough disease to eradicate > since it is a spirochete that a large amount of oral Iodine would be > needed - at least 100 mg or even much more. > > Kathy T. > > > > From: texlyme_mom <texlyme_mom@...> > Subject: Re: Iodine/Lyme Disease+ > iodine > Date: Saturday, September 3, 2011, 9:39 AM > > > , > I wouldn't really expect oral iodine to help Lyme arthritis of the > joints because there's not enough blood flow into the synovium or the > cartilage. Guest guest
Hi ,Would you mix with oil when dropping the lugols straight into your mouth?I've been putting it on the side (on gums)of a tooth that had been designated for a root canal ....and I've been applying adrop of Lugols 3-7 times per day. It does sting a little, but it actually feels good.Is there a reason you can think of why I shouldn't do this? I'm hoping that over timethe iodine seeps in and kills all infection within the structure of the tooth. It appears to me that the 'slight' gray at thebase of my tooth is now gone and is 'yellow.'I know this is the iodine staining yellow, but it would seem to me that I would still beable to note some of the 'gray/discoloration?'THNX!From: Baker <vbaker@...>iodine Sent: Sat, September 3, 2011 11:59:26 AMSubject: Re: Re: Iodine/Lyme Disease+ Painting directly over affected areas is highly successful. Guest guest
If you're doing fine with the drops, don't worry about it. And no, I wouldn't recommend putting the oil in your mouth I think in that case direct application is needed... the oil would tend to slide everything down your throat. People can easily find out what their parameters are by applying the Lugol's directly to the skin and seeing how long it takes to have a skin reaction. Not everyone will. But, the skin reaction can sometimes be troubling to people, so I've been trying to help people not go there by just starting off with the oil. But in the case of your tooth, I do think direct application is correct. But, as I mentioned recently, one of my cats had developed an abcessed tooth, a big hard swelling, that totally went away and has been gone for more than a year with oral (swallowed) iodine. I put it in their wet food ration. My cats drink more water when I put iodine drops in their water bowl. They LIKE the iodine for sure. To me that says a lot. So, if you feel it is helping your tooth, it IS. My sense is that our bodies, once they have access to iodine, start craving it. Our bodies crave health, that is how they are wired. -- On 3 Sep 2011 at 12:10, jcd in es wrote: > > > > Hi , > Would you mix with oil when dropping the > lugols straight into your mouth? > I've been putting it on the side (on gums) > of a tooth that had been designated for > a root canal ....and I've been applying a > drop of Lugols 3-7 times per day. Guest guest
Well you can paint different joints at different times. Any iodine in the body or to a particular area is better than not. Every effort helps. Hope you are taking it orally in large doses. -- On 5 Sep 2011 at 20:50, maribob7 wrote: > If I did that I would have to cover my whole body. Guest guest
I would put a few drops of DMSO in with the coconut oil and Lugol's. I do this and it works great. Vitamin C in solution will neutralize any iodine stains you might get on clothing. Peace and gratitude, Dean > > > > > > Dear : > > > > > > How awful for you. Guest guest
Also one needs to understand that the Lyme bacteria is capable of mutating when it feels it is being threatened (three different mutations in fact), whether it be iodine, an antibiotic or whatever. Thus iodine after a while would not work after the bacteria mutates to another form to get away from it. When and if Lyme bacteria finally changes to the cyst form nothing can touch it until it feels it is no longer threatened and mutates back to the spirochete form. This is the one main problem with Lyme spirochetes that is like no other bacteria and why it is so hard to eradicate. One needs a LLMD (Lyme Literate MD), that understands this and can treat, stop and change treatments accordingly. V > > > > > > Dear : > > > > > > How awful for you.
