Worse than ever - how long will it last?

Hi,

I know that when I say I feel awful at the moment it will be due to detox

symptoms as I hear so much about them but how long do they usually go on for?

I initially started LDN, iodine etc for stress, anxiety, alopecia and autoimmune

hypothyroid. The LDN had cured all of these but I thought it would help to boost

it with iodine. Now, the last week or so since I started iodine, I'm been

feeling increasingly stressed, anxious, depressed and also weak, shaky, sick,

headachy and also my insomnia I'd shaken after 20 years is back.

I can't take this much longer as I had finally felt much better for months but

mow feel back to square one. Please can anyone tell me how long this will go on

as you can't imagine how it feels to shake all the things that plague your life,

only to get them all back by doing something to try to further cure things. I

hope it is only very temporary? I'm drinking Celtic salt water and as orbit acid

lot but nothing. I had to go home from work yesterday for bring sick and shaky.

I'm on 7% lugol's, 5 drops, plus all the nutrients, also LDN, vit d3, ginko,

omega 3s and multivits too.

It sounds like you are experiencing adrenal stress. You may need to back off on your iodine for a while. When I had issues with detoxing I would pulse dose. I took iodine 5 days on and 2 days off but continued on the companion nutrients. Are you doing anything to support your liver? I used Rhodiola and Biotics Research Cytozyme AD when having issues with my adrenals.

Well like members are always asking what to do for problems that arise. Things like that.

Or detoxing causes problems and makes them feel worse. Or they can't take HC, or withstand T3 or dess. Thyroid?

Stuff like that.

You might try some mega doses of vitamin C. Sounds like you could use quite a

bit.

My doctor is using lots of C with his patients who are toxic.

When I said LDN cured all my ailments I probably could have rephrased it better. I just meant that I have halved my thyroid medication in a few months and had the tests to say that dose is now working for me in the way that double did, but also LDN has made all the hypo symptoms I was still left with go away, ie brain fog, depression, energy, hair loss, dry and bad skin, grayish complexion, brittle nails. All cleared up (well, alopecia way better and not shedding - just growing back slowly). Stress and anxiety had gone too, as well as long term insomnia. I started iodine too for a few reasons. Firstly as my body must have been toxic for many years and to help hopefully stop any candida overgrowth. Also because my dad died not much more than my age infested with cancer (bowel, then found in lymph nodes etc within months of first stomach ache he told anyone about). He was only 45. He was so fit and healthy otherwise. I take after him in every way physically and am scared to death of leaving my kids early too so wanted to detoxify myself. I feel like the hypothyroid, alopecia, mental health problems and little other niggles may be a warning that something needs fixing before anything takes it out of my hands so turned to iodine. Only I don't know how long I can handle these detox symptoms as it feels like I had a reprieve after literally years on everything and within a week it's all coming/come back.Like suggested it does feel like I have adrenal stress as I know my adrenals aren't great and how only been feeling better recently so probably aren't in good shape at all. I gave been upping the C and salt and did a few liver cleanses before with half a pint of olive oil each time and was taking liver flush for a month daily.I'll try one day on one off, or 5 on 2 off and see how it goes.
