Guest guest
What is the difference between these 2 forms? I read some posts who recommend L-selenomethionine and other recommend Se-methylselenocysteine... so which one is best? Which one absorbs better? thank you,
Guest guest
" Se-Methyl L-Selenocysteine (SeMC) is a naturally occurring seleno-amino acid that is synthesized by plants such as garlic and broccoli.(ref 95-98) SeMC is an organoselenium compound and also more bioabsorbable than other forms. Unlike selenomethionine, which is incorporated into proteins in place of methionine, SeMC is not incorporated into any proteins ... so it is fully available for the synthesis of selenium-containing enzymes, such as glutathione peroxidase.(ref 99) " Source: http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/Item00567/Se-methylselenocysteine-SeMC.h\ tml (see link to access the references)) > > What is the difference between these 2 forms? > > I read some posts who recommend L-selenomethionine and other recommend > Se-methylselenocysteine... so which one is best?
