Guest guest
Been researching the different solutions and methods of intake for iodine. Two questions: 1. Has anyone tried administering iodine transdermally? 2. On the Swanson's site, this is the description for Lugo'ls - what do they mean by " for use as a talisman only " ? J.Crow's Lugol's Solution 2% is equivalent to USP standards or higher. This solution delivers 94% distilled water, 4% potassium iodide, and 2% iodine. Drops dispense vertically or horizontally. Each vertical drop is approximately 3.125 mg of iodine and 6.25 mg of potassium iodide. For use as a talisman only. Keep away from children. Actual dropper bottle may vary from image shown. Note from manufacturer: dropper type may vary due to a temporary supply issue.
Guest guest
Many people here use Lugol's solution transdermally. It is not a precise way to dose, because it does not all get absorbed. Many of us are taking a regular oral dose & using Lugol's transdermally over problem areas.AnneOn Aug 3, 2011, at 2:57 PM, barbara wrote: Been researching the different solutions and methods of intake for iodine. Guest guest
I use Lugols because I have trouble swallowing all the stuff I have to swallow to go with the iodine! =) i also like that I can change my dose just a little at a time and that I can use it topically for different things - like the skin issues I was having due to synthetic thyroid medications. It really is a personal preference. On Aug 3, 2011, at 10:09 PM, Anne Seals wrote: Many people here use Lugol's solution transdermally.
