Can anyone point me to some good information regarding Endometriosis and iodine

deficiency? I have a cousin who is just filled with endometriosis and they are

wanting to do a complete hysterectomy and I am trying to persuade her to give it

six months on iodine before having the surgery. Any links or information would

be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi :

I'm fairly new here but I have found a LOT of things by Googling. Go to www.earthclinic.com and www.curzone.com and you will see a search engine and just put in Iodine first and/or Endometriosis and you'll find what others have done.

I will try to look through my files. Adenomyosis (most severe form of

endometriosis) is originally what led me to alternative methods and iodine. Not

sure what I still have on file. Endometriosis is frequently related to iodine

deficiency, thyroid issues and hormone imbalances. A complete hysterectomy is

only going to deal with the symptoms she is having, it will do nothing for the

root cause, that will still remain and continue to wreck havoc with her body

down the line, from breast issues to putting her at a higher risk for cancer. I

almost ended up with a hysterectomy but fortunately did a lot research prior and

ended up canceling the surgery, found a doc that dealt with bio-identical

hormones. I started thyroid mess, iodine and progesterone and within 2 months

had almost totally eliminated all my symptoms. If you do a search on the

messages of this group, you can find more info.

,I have endometriosis and taking iodine didnt really help me. Thats not to say it wont help someone else with the condition. If your cousin can find a specialist who can do proper excision surgery (not just laser) this will really help. I have much less pain after my surgery. I had stage 4 endo and I was advised many times to have a complete hysterectomy. I am glad I chose the other surgery. I had tried many other natural remedies before this and unfortunately none of them really helped. Except following a good diet and avoiding dairy and reducing fat intake.ValFrom: We Design <stacy@...>iodine Sent: Sun, 14 August, 2011 23:32:28Subject: Endometriosis & Iodine Deficiency
