I am waiting to see what happens next time but am interested to hear or others' experiences.I am finding that having the 1/2 tsp salt each day, vitamin c and extra water mostly alleviates the detox symptoms though I still seem to be more tired than I would like to be. I am looking forward to having that resolve too. Happy day,Fiona <insert witty or inspirational quote here>
Guest guest
Sad but true -- for some of us, the perimenopause can last a LOOOOOOOONG time.AnneOn Aug 12, 2011, at 5:45 PM, Totten wrote: Could be periomenopause, I hate to tell you. -AngieOn Aug 11, 2011, at 7:15 PM, Fiona Schipke wrote: I am wondering if anyone has experienced a changed menstrual cycle when starting on a higher dose of iodine? Guest guest
Yes.I have gone through these shifts about 3 times in 3 years since startingiodine. It makes sense because your body is producing more thyroid hormone, progesterone & other hormones. The first time it happened I was wiped out for an entire day with the worst periodI ever had. explained it as the body doing a big push to get the bromide out ofthe ovaries, one place it concentrates. And, my period went from twice monthly, in the first year to once every 28 days,is the good news.So things will/are improving.AliOn Aug 12, 2011, at 5:45 PM, Totten wrote: Could be periomenopause, I hate to tell you. -AngieOn Aug 11, 2011, at 7:15 PM, Fiona Schipke wrote: I am wondering if anyone has experienced a changed menstrual cycle when starting on a higher dose of iodine? Guest guest
Could be a coincidence with perimenopause, but most likely it's the iodine resetting your reproductive system, which uses a lot of iodine, and would have been deficient. My system has worked better since I've been on the iodine protocol. Btw, perimenopause or menopause are nothing to be " sorry " about, they are a natural part of any woman's life should she be so fortunate to live so long. They are not disease states, they are natural normal phases of life. -- >Could be periomenopause, I hate to tell you. -Angie > >On Aug 11, 2011, at 7:15 PM, Fiona Schipke wrote: > >> >> >> >>I am wondering if anyone has experienced a changed menstrual cycle when >>starting on a higher dose of iodine? Guest guest
You are right. However, I think a lot of the symptoms we have during the perimenopause these days are about imbalance -- estrogen dominance, iodine deficiency, poor diet, etc. I think if we were all in good balance, the perimenopause wouldn't even be noticeable. But because we are out of balance, some of us get really uncomfortable symptoms -- & I guess that is what I have come to think of as perimenopause. As a normal phase of life, without too many symptoms, perimenopause would, indeed, be nothing to be sorry about. But I had a rocky road through mine... Thanks for the reminder.AnneOn Aug 12, 2011, at 10:33 PM, B wrote: Could be a coincidence with perimenopause, but most likely it's the iodine resetting your reproductive system, which uses a lot of iodine, and would have been deficient. Guest guest
Well I was talking about the philosophical aspect of it, not the reality of imbalances. Absolutely, imbalances caused by environmental factors is playing a huge role in the suffering people are experiencing, and early menopause as well. But the iodine protocol has much to offer for this. --V At 12:43 PM 8/13/2011, you wrote: >You are right.
