Hi and i am new.

I am a member of the other groups like Adrenal/thyroid and another two.

I am wondering if i need iodine.

Can i not take just a couple drops a day?

Someone in the other group thought my body wouldn't handle this.

I don't understand a thing about any of this.

I do have adrenal fatigue and haven't gotten my results back from dr. for thyroid labs.

But i see no harm in taking iodine at a very low dose of two drops.

Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know why, but i can't get anyone to respond to anything in any other group for a few days now.

Hi. I think they may have said you can't handle iodine at the mo as the detox symptoms sound like they put temporary stress on the body and if you have adrenal fatigue they may have been worried that it's extra stress your body couldn't take. I've been keeping track of those posts as also have/had adrenal fatigue, hypothyroid and also alopecia and worried that my system may get pushed over the edge to; however, after reading lots of posts on here if seems you can alleviate those detox symptoms by the salt loading, more vit c etc. I'm about to try it anyway as thought that if it got that bad I'd try taking a few days off as well or easing back. If it does get too bad, you could always take a break if the salt didn't help make it bearable.Or you could try to heal your adrenal first? I don't understand enough to n ow either, have just read a lot recently. I don't know if you've tried the LDN yet but my synacthen (cortisol) test was borderline needing HC then after two months on LDN they did a second test to confirm before starting me on HC and there wasn't a problem any more, cortisol levels well within normal range. I'm shocked. Only got the results a few days ago. Anyway, good luck whichever you decide. Iodine now of later. It sounds like your body's meant to have it so it's worth a shot!
