Nature-throid is not a very popular drug. If you go to http://www.nature-throid.com/ and call RLC and talk to customer service they will help you find a pharmacy who can supply it to you. At one time www.drugstore.com had it in stock.

If you have a prescription you can get the the Canadian brand (which

I use) from Universal Drugstore. You can take it sub-lingual too.

It is better than the new Armour formulation.

I've used Erfa and will soon be switching to Naturethroid. Erfa is very good and it and Naturethroid aresupposed to be the best ones. Here's the URL for the Nature's Pharmacy in Asheville NC. I've been there and

also ordered via phone. They carry Naturethroid and they are VERY nice to deal with. I ordered Nthroid from them and got it within 2 days. They are a compounding pharmacy and they carry other hard to find items like DMSO. They have an online store as well.

Grace,Don't feel bad... what pharmacies don't know about natural thyroid could fill a book. I was told by my pharmacist that Naturethroid was the generic for Armour (NOT!). I politely informed him that they are separate brands, Armour is made with pig thyroid and Naturethroid with beef. If your doc has a scrip for you, the pharmacist should be able to track it down, whether he/she knows it exists or not. Actually Naturethroid is also from pig. Unless they have changed their ingredients recently. Best, Kathleen

You need a prescription from your doctor. But once you have a

prescription, any pharmacy can order it in for you. You just need to have a

pharmacist that is willing to do it! Mine balked, but since our prescriptions

had been there for 25 years, I persisted and they now supply me every month.

Yes, you do need a prescription. You shouldn't need a code, I was able to go to Sam's and simply give them the prescription. My doctor writes me a year's worth, Rx and I get three months at a time for around $100 including shipping.

Another good compounding pharmacy that ships to me in Southern CA is Women's international.

I'm pretty sure they carry Naturethroid and they ship for $5.

I think that is correct. I have only heard of people getting it from Canada. Europe has Armour. There is Thyroid-S from Thailand as well. Not sure what options are available to Europe. There is a Natural Thyroid Hormone Group for Europeans. Maybe they can help you.

is so high (160e), I thought maybe I could have a us doctor prescription
