Guest guest
sorry two seperate questions because I cant remember what the advice was about doing an iodine protocol and if it was safe if you were hypo, as I understand it iodine is not just needed by the thyroid but is utilized by other organs etc .I suffered severly fibrocystic breasts and while I lived in France until 2009 they used to do regular ultasound checks to make sure they werent calcafying however the NHS doesnt bother. I have read that the iodine protocol can help this condition but I am worried that it might make problems for the thyroid etc.second question if the achiles tendon reflex is a good indicator of whether T4 is changeing to T3 and working at a cellular level why are GPs not doing this test and how do you gauge the speed of reflex etc prehaps we shoulld all demand that our GPs do this if it doesnt require a special machine it would be a very cost effective test!
