Iodine Loading Test in Canada?

Hi,

Does anyone know of any lab in Canada that would do the Iodine Loading Test? I

prefer in Canada because my insurance might cover it. If nobody in Canada does

it then what is the best lab in the USA for Canadians?

I do not believe there are any Canadian trained labs. You can check with Hakala Labs (www.hakalalabs.com ) to see if they know of anyone or contact Optimox.com (Dr Abraham) as he trains all the labs on the techniques.

Thank you for your response.

While doing my research I noticed that some labs do Pre and post iodine loading

test.

Since the post loading test shows how deficient I am therefore I am not sure why

take the preloading test. Do you think that the pre loading test might offer

some benefits? What would they be?

The pre test is also called a spot test. It is an indicator of how much iodine you are getting in your diet over the last 48 hours. I see no value in this test.

I was planning on doing the loading test. I've been taking lugols for about two months now. I was wondering if I should go a full six months and then test or if I should just do it now.
