Guest guest
I've had hair loss before starting iodine therapy. Once starting Lugols it helped. I've played with my dose.. I've taken up to twenty drops to as low as five drops. Currently, I'm taking about eight drops with all the companion nutrients and adding iron and i'm back to getting noticeable hair loss. Is this associated with hyper or hypo thyroidism? Should I increase my dose? Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks yall.
Guest guest
Hi Ariel,What did you do to go off of Zantac? I went off of antacids and was feeling fine stomach wise but then couldn't get rid of ongoing sinus infections leading to bronchitis and then stomach started to hurt again - turns out the reflux was getting into my sinuses as I slept and causing me to get really ill. Just started back on the antacids and already am feeling better in the sinuses and lungs! Just one day and I feel better - so I know I need to reduce the reflux - I've tried the betaine HCL and it really made my stomach hurt and lots of heartburn (which I don't usually feel)). Even on the iodine and constant antibiotics I was jut getting sicker and sicker. Plus, the Lugols seems to increase reflux for me too many benefits to not use it, but there has to be some balance that I am missing. Any ideas? Thanks, On Aug 5, 2011, at 7:33 AM, Ariel Monserrat wrote: Yes, hair usually grows back. Also be aware that if you are on Zantac or any other antacids, your hair will fall out. Mine did and I'm just now finding out that taking antacids keeps you from absorbing nutrients and causes malnutrition which is why you lose hair. I just went off Zantac about a month ago and am feeling much much better now. Guest guest
Baking soda ended my 20 years or so on zantacs.....baking soda cuts the acid in your system but does not inhibit your digestion.....it has many other health benefits also, docs are using it in a combo with iodine to cure some cancers......baking soda takes the acidity out of your system and an acid system is what makes cancer, sinus problems, illness grow.....the best body/system is an alkaline system.... Guest guest
, Ido has it right. In fact, Ido recommended the book to me that is in the post, about stomach acid.It isn't good to take alot of baking soda because it inhibits production of stomach acid which is whatyour body uses to digest and extract the nutrients from; in the end you have malnutrition. This is what happened to me on Zantac and since I've been off of them for 4 to 6 weeks, I'm feeling MUCH better; in fact, I think it's why I have had adrenal fatigue, which now that I'm off Zantac has now healed and I am starting to lower my dose of cortisol. I definitely second Ido's book recommendation and to follow that protocol. I found that the betaine et al didn't work so well for me so I just backed off the Zantac slowly by cutting the dosage in half every 4 days. I had to tolerate slight heartburn at first, but when I either ate something or waited for awhile it went away. I'll be happy to help you through it, don't hesitate to email me offlist.
