Guest guest
Hi Ali, I think there are glands behind the ear in the spot you describe. Mine sometimes gets bigger, I have noticed over the years. But if you are worried, it might be best to take her to the doctor if it doesn’t get better. Best, Kathleen Lump on child's head Last night my seven year old daughter said it was sorebehind her ear. I felt it and it is a painful dime sized lumpsensitive to the touch, an inch behind the right ear, and downan inch.I put iodine on a cotton ball and doused it a bit.I am not sure what to do.Any thoughts greatly appreciated. She has been taking iodine/iodoral, companion nutrients, and naturethroid for about two years now. (slowly decreasing naturethroid, and slowlyincreasing iodine)She is on two iodoral and 1/4 grain of naturethroid.(off iodoral on weekends)I asked her if she somehow banged her head and she said no.This is sort of on topic and sort of off because people discuss theirlumps here all the time. But to me it is an emergency so any help appreciated.Thank you.Ali

Guest guest
I am thinking, that if it is a gland, then it has a cold in it. Go on earthclinic.com and see if there are any remedies on there. I would bet there are.LynFrom: Alison Trotta-Marshall <atmarshall1@...> Ok. Guest guest
It may be a lymph node. You can try massaging it toward the heart - down the neck to see if it helps to get it un congested. Guest guest
While waiting to see the doc, I would be inclined to try a hot compress. If it is some sort of boil, that could open it up & make it more accessible to the iodine.AnneOn Jul 30, 2011, at 1:02 PM, A. wrote: Last night my seven year old daughter said it was sore behind her ear.
