Guest guest
For me once i was utilising my T3 properly (once i had raised my iron and was on adequet HC) I found that constipation went away. I used to have to used laxatives on a daily basis, but now i have not used them for over 8 months! and have been on T3 only for 10 months! I am also experiancing problems again with constipation and Haemorroids. > Kathleen > Steve
Guest guest
HI STEVE, I am not taking any iron as I was given this for my pregnancies and iron caused me to be constipated. Not sure if by HC you mean HCL, but that HCL made indigestion worse, or would being treated with prednisolone be the same as being treated with HC. Were you able to drink ok before having T3, and if not has T3 made a difference, and have you lost any weight. It was my Father who used to have Haemorroids, if fact he felt so bad that we all got a nice Xmas present that year, but he survived. Guest guest
Hi, while taking iron i may get a bit constipated but afterwards once i stop my bowels go good again, i mean HC as then my body can utilise the T3 better making my own digestion alot better. T3 has made ALOT of difference for me, and especially in my gut/bowels in a good way. I am already really quite skinny so im not loosing weight just staying the same. Guest guest
HI STEVE Does T3 make you more energetic, and if so how do you control the new found energy, as T3 gives me a boost of energy, and at the moment I have started decorating my hall, but with me its knowing at what point to stop, which is not easy as I have always been like it, and if I find I am flagging in turn I will struggle harder to get a job completed. It could even be a natural way that because my BP dipped this morning that natures way is to be active to raise it up again. Guest guest
Seriously Kathleen, if you get to a point where you feel you are " flagging " - give up at that point for the day and start again tomorrow. Your body isn't built to be in top gear every minute of the day and it needs to rest and recover. You will only pay the consequences (not pleasant one's) if you ignore this and carry on struggling to get a job completed. Tomorrow is another day, enjoy today and do what you can, and be thankful that T3 has given you back your strength - don't abuse it. Guest guest
HI SHEILA Having cleared up my flat from rubbed down paint etc I am taking a rest and in turn tomorrow, but I am glad to have more energy than I did. If the weather is nice tomorrow I am going to have a relaxing time photographing the wildlife on the duck ponds including an early night tonight. I was not out of breath last night, but an experiance with cramp was in fact help with taking potassium, so in turn it must mean that I need potassium and not magnesium. However a restful trip on a coach to see my nephew was not so helpful. I think a 4 hour journey by coach (8 hours in all)is not likely to be on my agenda again. Train travel is fine providing my hips remain ok. I also think back to the harm that was done while on Pimozide along with the weight and laziness that it caused culminating in cancer and having to undergo the TVT tape for incontinence caused by all that weight pushing down on my bladder. To overcome cancer they do now say that it is good to be active, and being active helps with lung function, and they also say that it aids ones heart. I have not felt the tiredness that I felt when on 1/2 a 25mcg T3 pill, which I am now taking half that dose, but if will keep an eye on BP readings as if it goes too high I need to do less, but if too low salt can raise it or to do more can also raise it. Potassium can also lower BP. Have you any advice regarding salt and potassium T3 must be doing me good as my elbows are not rough. I can also reduce if needed to DR P'S recomendation of 1/2 of 25mcg T3 pill twice a week, but remembering when to take this is not as easy as taking a part of a pill every day. I also knew that on the higher dose of T3 that I had to stop taking it, and to restart back on a smaller dose. I also have to remember that T4 only caused me to do more, but stopping T4 takes longer to recover from unlike T3. When I came off of Pimozide and already on 150mcg of T4 I became very overactive not knowing T4 was in fact causing this, and I ended up almost flaking out in turn having to be given sodium and potassium. T4 only can in fact be more harmful than T3, as T4 can take longer to recover from if over-prescribed. BP pressure pills that I was also prescribed could also have been harmful, and my present GP has said that BP readings have to be taken on a tape over 24 hours for a diagnoses, and not based on 3 readings on visits to GP'S. If in turn ones BP is a problem then they should locate the cause and not simply place a patient on more drugs.
