Hi everyone,

I know this has been asked and answered many times before but I can't find the

answers (I did try and search!.) I'm going to have blood tests for vit D3, mag,

full blood count, liver function tests etc over the next week of so. I take

alot of supplements (B12, D3, calcium, potassium, zinc, multivit, HCL) and am on

80 mcg T3 and 20 HC per day (working with Dr P). I know that we should stop

thyroid meds for 24 hours if poss before a blood draw but not sure what to do

about other supplements etc.? Any advice appreciated. Many thanks,

mrscosh

If you are getting blood tests done for D3, magnesium, full

blood count, liver function then ask also for more blood to be taken at the

draw to include iron, transferrin saturation %, ferritin, vitamin B12, folate,

copper and zinc to be done as well. I know you are taking supplements but it is

a good idea to see how well (or not) they are working. You don't need to stop

taking any minerals/vitamins on the morning of the blood draw for the tests,

but it is important that you don't take any thyroid medications on that

morning.
