I know it is needed, but she would need to see specifically how it would help her arthritis.  Not really into all this health stuff, but the pain is getting bad enough to get her attention.  Hoping to recruit another convert in this mission to get the world healthier.

Does she eat grains? Sugar. Stop those and pretty much, no more pain. Oh, and sodas also. Dairy might be a problem as well. Diet is probably the biggest cause of arthritis.

Since the early 20th century, many physicians would use iodine to treat arthritis as they considered the cause to be infection related.  Around the world today, rheumatoid arthritis is regarded as a mineral deficiency and hence doctors will prescribe going to the ocean for the remineralization for at least 2 weeks.  Seaweed therapy known as thalassotherapy has shown great relief & complete reversal of symptoms with many clients we see in the spa using these raw & organic, whole body treatments.

Some ND's believe arthritis ( and their about 9 different forms including gout

and fibromyalgia) can stem from a low grade infection in the body. A typical

source is in the mouth. If you have inflamed gums, crowns, root canals

etc, these can be possible areas where microoganisms than thrive and multiply.

Long story short these microoganisms can circulate in the body and cause joint

issues. There are many factors to discuss but will keep it short here. Remove

oral toxins and you make a significant step towards easing the daily workload on

your immune system. Free it up to do its job and help heal the body. Have a

look into oil pulling and using coconut oil. Anyone interested in a paper

discussing the 2 can e mail me directly. Or look into Dr. Fife's book on

arthritis and or oil pulling. Oil pulling works because the cell membrane of a

microbe is lipid based. We know water and oil do not mix but oils and other

fats bond together. Think of oil pulling acting like taking a piece of tape to

clothing to remove lint. Overall action plan could be to address nutritional

deficiencies via a whole foods diet with whole foods supps if needed, eliminate

sugars pos gluten and remove oral toxins. A strong immune system can combat

many degenerative diseases. Sorry this got off topic.

I also have some material written up, on the underlieng cause of Auto-immune

diseases, including Hashi's, and non-inflamatory Hypothyroidism being caused by

an infection, and a treatment/cure that includes iodine AND LDN. Anyone who

would like to read it, e-mail me and put " Theory " in the Title or first line of

Hi Grace,

I am pretty new here and can only speak from my experience.

Several years ago, I had bad osteo arthritis nodules on my hands, toes and

elbows. I started to take 2Tbsp of Concentrated Montmorency Tart Cherry juice

every day and within a month they disappeared. Now I just take some every week

or so, but also eat a few tart dried cherries everyday.

Now don't let this scare you, get to the end first - since I started iodine,

I've had headaches, acne & what seemed like arthritis show up in my hips,(like I

would get stuck when trying to get up) and most recently bone pain, all in that

order.

Even with my limited knowledge, I am certain that the iodine is helping me to

detox bromide and fluoride in different areas of my body, one part at a time. I

worked in the ag industry for years and was exposed to many bromide and fluoride

chemicals, not to mention all the pharmaceuticals and other daily toxins.

For me the first positive noticeable difference by taking iodine was in my

breast tissue. The fibroids went away. My hips and knees are not sticking.

Guess what I am trying to say is that iodine is working for me. But depending on

how your friends body reacts and how her body wants to use it, it may or may not

work on the arthritis first.

I read somewhere that coconut oil used with the iodine helps to lubricate the

joints. Also, just recently read somewhere (maybe even on this list) that

diatomaceous earth will help with arthritis.

I seriously cannot stress this enough, TAKE SALT because it is when I have

forgotten to salt is when I feel horrible.

I have been doing the 100mg minocin MWF nights from Canada pharmacy and it does work to prevent damage according to my xrays.  Canadian price a buck a pill vs 14 bucks a pill locally for non generic version and can feel the difference in potency.

RA can also damage the heart muscle in recent Swedish study that I read recently. RA damage to joints is permanent and swift so no time to waste. The last book here has good summary page for doctors that helped my GP to write the RX. My rheumatologists' however would neither have written it even with the book's guidance as not familiar with it. Just my experience with those knuckleheads....and apparently typical. Pam
