But of course I do and here it is. :)

My bad... it's called a Sugar cream pie. D'OH! lol

1- 9 " Baked pie shell

1- C. Sugar

4 Tbsp. Corn starch

2 1/4 C. Half & Half

6 Tbsp. Melted Butter

1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg

Mix sugar, corn starch, half & half, 4 of the 6 tablespoons of butter

and cinnamon in a saucepan and cook on high whisking constantly until

it's thick and pudding like.

Add vanilla, pour into baked pie shell, drizzle remaining butter over

top, and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Place pie under broiler in oven until the butter bubbles. It doesn't

take long so watch it closely!

Chill and gain weight! ....I mean serve!! lol

I love this pie and I can't eat just one slice, that's why I don't

make it very often.... there's NOTHING good for you about it. lol

Hubby's home. I'm going swimming with him. :)

Talk to ya later.

Hello,

I have lots of water retention. Can someone please recommend me something for

it? I bought some over the counter herb pills but I swear they made the problem

even worse. Thank you very much.

Do you think you get enough potassium in your diet? I have read that water

retention can sometimes be helped having more potassium in foods/juices?

Hi

I don't know if I get enough potassium from my diet, but I had a look at my

latest blood test results and my potassium is very good.

I think I will by some potassium pills anyway, they can't hurt.

Thank you.

It could be that you need the active thyroid hormone T3 -

as they say, T3 makes you pee! I know it did me when I started taking natural

thyroid extract after being 4 years on L-thyroxine only.

Can you tell us what your last thyroid function test results

were and when these were last done and what medication you are taking

right now. Have you asked your GP to give you a trial of a diuretic such

as Co-Amilozide 50mncgs?

Hi Sheila,

I have been on T3 for about a month now. I perfectly know what is causing my

water retention: hydrocortisone. It all started with the hydrocortisone but I

can't stop it because is the only thing (at the moment) that is helping me with

the severe pain in my body.

Every time that I try to decrease it the pain comes back violently.

I will not go to any nhs doctor because they disgust me.

I just wanted to know if you had any over the counter suggestion.

Thank you very much. I appreciate all your help.

Are you eating a low GI diet? that is supposed to help steroids work better?

i was reading this, yesterday, too:

http://www.wildeaboutsteroids.co.uk/steroids.html

If you have gained a lot of weight and become obese because of taking prescribed

steroids or HRT then I have very good news for you! - You have gained weight

because of excess water stored in your body - mainly in the veins. You are

suffering from what is called hypervolaemia - that is, abnormally high blood

volume - and it is easy to reduce this abnormally high blood volume by losing

some of the excess water. Another name for the problem is sodium retention. -

This is the name that often appears in the reference books doctors have, that

they use to look up correct doses of drugs they prescribe and side-effects that

can result from taking the drugs.

To prevent or reduce the weight gained, you need to cut down on salt and salty

food, because the sodium retention has made you sensitive to salt.

I am on 20mg of hydrocortisone and (at the moment) 67.5mcg of T3. No I am not on

DHEA.

I am also taking NAX and an incredible amount of supplements and vitamins.

where is the pain coming from? have you tried any natural anti inflammatories

to help, like turmeric? just wondering if you took extra things to help with

that, if it'd help you reduce HC a bit?

do you score highly on any of these? just wondered if HC had thrown out anything

else?

Mmm... I don't know anything about turmeric used as an anti inflammatory. Thank

you for suggesting, I will make a research about it.

Without HC I have severe pain in all the right part of my body, from my feet up

to my neck. My hope is that increasing slowly the T3 I will be able to manage

the pain without HC.

I hope!

Hi Viv:

In those supplements you're taking are you including potassium, magnesium and

celtic sea salt or himalayan pink rock salt? How about 4000 mgs of Vitamin C a

day?

Hello,

I am on 5000mg of Vitamin C a day, I also take magnesium and use celtic sea
