Guest guest
So you are continuing to get better 2 years later? I also did well on levaquin, but had tendon damage from it. (Not permanent, it went away after about a year.) As you probably know, many of us have multiple viral and bacterial infections, so it could have been a lot of things that responded to your antibiotics. Doris ----- Original Message ----- i recieved a dose of iv levaquin 2 years ago when i had 2 sebaceaus cysts removed.the severe migrain headaches i was having were reduced to about a 2 on the pain scale of 1-10. Guest guest
hello doris, absolutely, i have nothing to prove what it worked on or did but my condition never really improved until i had the iv levaquin.it was given to prevent infection of the cut to remove the plugged oil glands.i had no brain fog improvement but the day after the surgery the headaches were way down.also no herx reaction with the 500mg.iv levaquin.oral levaquin is a different story as the herx was strong felt very nausous but days 3-8 i had mild improvement every day explained this to drs.and they weren't convinced therefore no more levaquin.what it feels like to me is i may have some type of infection and the antibiotics got it down to a level my immune system can handle and feels as though it will eventually be able to handle the condition.by the way i live on a dairy farm and am not sure i would recomend raw milk as there is no way of knowing what type of bacteria is in the raw milk.just my opinion i seen another post saying they were drinking the raw milk. wayne

Guest guest
Levaquin is one of a class of antibiotics called Flouroquinolones. Notice “flour” as is “fluoride” at the beginning of the name? Flouriquinolones are made of fluoride! I keep on hand a document from the FDA that sites the dangers of them, including tendon rupture and C Diff. Of course, they don’t address the problems that a major overload of fluoride does to the thyroid and body in general, but I know from reading this loop over the years that many of members problems started after taking a flouroquinolone antibiotic. This document has helped me when we have needed antibiotics to insist that we do not get a flouroquinolone. Kind of hard for doctors to fight a FDA document! http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/DrugSafety/PostmarketDrugSafetyInformationforPatientsandProviders/ucm126085.htm Donna in IL Hi , The internal damage that Levaquin did to my son-in-law rendered him unable to walk for almost 2 months. Guest guest
Hi All, This has me wondering what the heck I have been taking that has made me so sick! If anyone understand more about this I would appreciate advice. I was prescribed AUGMENTIN (Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium tablets) due to a pretty bad infection. And I am unsure of how I'm using the the Iodine protocol that may be causing this. Obviously it isn't Levaquin which I have taken before but will never take again! Background is I started the iodine protocol about three months ago now. About 5 weeks ago my right arm and especially my hand swelled up and caused a lot of pain (as I was increasing up to about 50mg iodine). In addition I had a bad cough - bronchitis - and I felt horrible. I went to the doc and they thought it might be a blood clot or a blocked lymph node and bronchitis. I was put on amoxicillin and the arm cleared up and the cough got better but never totally went away. I also increased salt and Vit C thinking that the lymph nodes may not be cleared enough for toxins to get out. A few weeks later the cough came back as bad as ever and my arm started to swell again. By day two it was just lymph nodes that were swollen, I went to the doc again, this time he gave me Augmentin. Now the cough is pretty much gone, the whole arm swelling is gone, and the lymph nodes are still swollen and causing minor pain. I also cut back on the iodine, thinking maybe I was detoxing too fast but I have been painting my swollen lymph nodes hoping to get them the help they need. The Augmentin has made me really sick - nauseous, really bad diarrhea, leading to hemorrhoids, and now constant pain thanks to them. Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to do to feel better? What is so crazy is in one way I feel better than I have in years, brain fog is gone for the most part, I have energy when I'm not nauseous, and I'm not as anxious or depressed as I used to feel. So I know the iodine is helping but this other stuff sucks! Thanks! Guest guest
Rebounding is generally recommended for lymph system problems, & would be worth a try. The lymph system does not have a pump, the way the circulatory system has the heart. The only way to get the lymph moving is through exercise, & rebounding is reportedly the best exercise to do it. Problems in the lymph system usually indicate infection or cancer, as I understand it. (Since you have the respiratory infection, too, that would tend to make me think infection more.)For persistent infection, I would take all the vitamin C I could tolerate ( & make my own liposomal C to increase the level I could tolerate, or buy commercial LC to increase my dose even further without bowel distress.) I would also use a neti pot, as another way to address respiratory infection. (They also say you should put hydrogen peroxide in your ears to fight respiratory infection, but I never think to try that.)I have no idea what is causing your problem with the iodine protocol. I do know that I am allergic to selenium that is yeast-based, & always react badly to it. (I have to be sure to buy selenium that is yeast-free.) Is it possible that you are allergic to the source material of one of your supplements? That could cause the respiratory stuff...Then again, one of the theories is that your body walls off infections it can't deal with, & that if you improve your health, you can sometimes start clearing out old infections. Have you had a lot of bronchitis in the past? I have known people to report having brief flare-ups of old complaints once they started detoxing & supplementing in earnest. As for the antibiotics, it can take a LONG time to heal the damage they do. Take lots of probiotics (I rotate different brands), chlorella (which is supposed to nourish the probiotics & helps with detox), enzymes -- everything you can possibly give your gut to help it heal. And be prepared. For some of us, irritable bowel symptoms can persist a LONG time.AnneOn Jul 21, 2011, at 1:50 PM, wrote: Hi All, This has me wondering what the heck I have been taking that has made me so sick! Guest guest
Thanks Anne. I am actually feeling better enough to begin more exercise except that any exertion makes me cough so I will have to do short bursts. I hadn't thought about being allergic to a part of the filler but I will check that out. I've been paying more attention to making sure I get capsules, easier to swallow and usually easier to metabolize. There is always something more to learn! Thanks Higgins Sent from my iPhoneOn Jul 21, 2011, at 11:55 PM, Anne Seals <anneseals@...> wrote: Rebounding is generally recommended for lymph system problems, & would be worth a try. Guest guest
, You are most likely allergic to Augmentin. I am highly allergic and developed the same symptoms (years ago) when I first took the med. If you haven't already, stop taking it immediately. If you continue and you are allergic, you will end up severely dehydrated (from your body purging); then it's a trip to the hospital for fluid IVs. Ask me how I know. =) I react the same to biaxin (sp?). Best regards! Dena
Guest guest
Just some side info related to antibiotics – I am allergic to them all now, yippee hooray. However, I needed some surgeries last year and found an allergist who desensitizes to antibiotics. The protocol takes a few hours in their office, is very straightforward, and allows me to take a full round of whichever antibiotic is suggested. I am highly allergic to penicillin and have not tried a desensitization to it specifically, although the allergist tells me it is also possible. Guest guest
Thanks for your information. I went to my doc today and he agreed that I needed off the augmentin and to try something else, he asked how I do with Levaquin! I told him I didn't react well - I didn't bother to say that I don't intend to react to it in any way to avoid an argument - but so glad this thread was on here! Guest guest
To reduce arguments, I have taken to telling docs I am allergic to pretty much all of them. One doc questioned me snidely, "Are you talking about real allergy, or just feeling sick, having an upset stomach & diarrhea?" Because apparently it is OK to feel sick, have an upset stomach & diarrhea...Anyway, don't forget, "Antibiotic" means against life. There are times when you need them to save your life, but most of them are over-prescribed to a terrifying degree. And whether you need them or not, after you take them, you have SERIOUS work to do to restore your gut.AnneOn Jul 22, 2011, at 11:44 AM, Shreve wrote: Just some side info related to antibiotics – I am allergic to them all now, yippee hooray. Guest guest
One good thing about the rebounder is that you don't have to exert yourself very much. You can just stand on it & bounce very sightly -- or even sit on it, & have somebody else bounce it, if you are really sick.AnneOn Jul 22, 2011, at 12:24 AM, Higgins wrote: Thanks Anne. Thanks! I found you off a link someone posted on a MMS blog. So far, it sounds wonderful. Not to scare you (but to warn you, in hopes that the same doesn't happen to you) 2 years ago my father was killed by an antibiotic .... Levaquin. If at all possible try to stay away from this one. It is criminal that this drug permanently injures and kills people each year and the FDA refuses to pull it off the market. Taking this drug is like playing Russian Roulette.
