Guest guest
I am 36 and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid when I was 14. I have stunted growth because my mum, sister and brother are all the same height and I'm a lot shorter. I also have some baby teeth which makes me think it started when I was much younger. I have felt my symptoms are still there and have complained for years to my doctors about not having enough thyroxine. They blame my weight on my diet and I have argued countless times and even been frustrated that I have cried on many occasions in the surgery. I have said I must be a small percentage that falls out of the guidlines and said that my thyroxine isnt working. I now read the article in the Daily mail and I am now convinced I need T3. I can understand how Gayle has felt and I dont know how I can convince my doctor when it costs so much money compared to T4. But I think that the T3 solution is the light at the end of the tunnel for me. I wonder if I should just buy some T3 and try it like Gayle did and see if it works. Can someone give me some advice please. thanks
