Guest guest
I will work for me, and has for a while. I have made this a lifestyle change and not a "diet'' now it is a habit, I will not allow myself to ever get that heavy again!!!! I feel so much better since I have changed the way I eat and do at least some exercise, also what helps the most is that I learned to deal w/ the emotional and stress related issues that had me stuffing food in my face to make up for what was wrong w/ my life. When I 345+ I would sit home and eat rather then get out there and live. Now as I approach 40, I am enjoying myself more than I did 20 years ago. A truly wonderful side effect of the lifestyle change. Guest guest
Welcome, ! How wonderful for you that your husband and pediatrician are both in agreement with you. What a relief that must be not to have to worry about it with #3 on the way. I have never heard that before about the eardrum bursting like that. Poor baby! Good that you figured out the vaccine angle and stopped before anything more serious happened. Winnie New to the group! Guest guest
Hi all! I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself as well as ask a question or two. I am trying to wade my way through the information in the documents section but with the brain fog it sometimes makes re-call difficult. I am 37 and have been having hypothyroid symptoms for nearly 10 years. Because I have a normal TSH the doctors refuse to do much for me except validating that "yes something is going on with you." Just last week I had a biopsy done on a thyroid nodule which came back negative. (I have 21 nodules/cysts but only one is considered clinically significant.) I mentioned this in the STTM FB group and another follower stated that I should follow the iodine protocol. I have a post biopsy follow up appointment with my primary on Thursday where I am going to ask for more tests like a free T3, free T4, and both antibodies to be done. I know that there are Iodine tests that can be done but I can't recall what I should ask for. Are there specific iodine labs I should request or do I just need to ask for "iodine labs?" I want to start the iodine protocol but I don't want to mess up my labs either.... Again, I thank you all for the help and allowing me into the group! Guest guest
You are going to have a problem with your doc if s/he is not iodine savvy, because most docs think it is toxic, & would absolutely blanche at the amounts we take. So many of us are guerilla users of iodine. Many of us don't bother to test. (The only test recommended here is a 24-hour iodine loading test, & you have to collect your urine for 24 hours. The average doc tests blood, which is not helpful.) And most of us dose by how we feel, rather than by using any sort of test numbers. Are you ready to walk on the wild side? (Joke. Sort of.)AnneOn Jul 19, 2011, at 3:38 PM, Cheryl wrote: Hi all! I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself as well as ask a question or two.
