Guest guest
Hi , I have just had a look at the Thyroplex you mention on the iherb site and its bl***y expensive. If you need to take glandulars there are far less expensive options. If you look in the files section of the site there is info on Nutri and the discounts you can get. Nutri adrenal extra has glandulars and some b vits. You don't say what your symptoms, have you been diagnosed and if or how you are being medicated at the moment. Give us a clue and we can give an informed opinion (if you want it) With regard to vits and mineral listed, some seem a bit obtuse, the usual suspects for supplementation are B Vit complex (jarrow Bcomplex are good) Vit C to tolerance (3-5 grammes) Selenium Magnesium 400mgs CoQ10 Optional kelp or Iron as this is not advisable in all cases. If I've missed anything I hope someboby will chip in. Kind regards, Tina. > > I posted this last weekend but it didn't actually show up so I'm trying again! I'm taking a supplement prescribed by my naturopath, called `Thyroplex'. I'm wondering if anyone has used this and found it helpful, or if anyone can tell me if they think it's worthwhile, based on the ingredients – I have no idea what recommended doses would be, and if this is no use, I would rather spend the money on
Guest guest
If you're shopping at iherb.com maybe this would be a better choice: http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-ADRENergize-Energy-50-Capsules/2121?at=0 I tend to like the glandulars which don't have added stuff.... because the glandulars which add stuff don't usually have the right stuff or not all the correct stuff...... This is my favorite adrenal glandular, but iherb does not sell it: http://www.pureformulas.com/adrenal-desiccated-90-tablets-by-standard-process.ht\ ml You should have a good B complex and you most likely could use a good B12 vitamin along with that. http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-B-Right-100-Capsules/110?at=0 http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Methyl-B-12-1000-mcg-100-Lozenges/129?at=0 Also, celtic sea salt or himalayan rock salt is important for the adrenals. http://www.amazon.com/Selina-Naturally-Celtic-Light-Course/dp/B000TIZP5I/ref=sr_\ 1_4?ie=UTF8 & qid=1314117583 & sr=8-4 http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU403/ItemDetail Cheers, JOT
Guest guest
Thanks very much Jot & Tina for the advice on supplements - is iherb a U.S. operation? Just wondering if I will have an issue importing to Australia. Re history, Tina, hypothyroidism had been suggested by a couple of nurses but my blood test a couple of years ago was bordeline so dr said it was ok. A naturopath this year said hypothyroid with probable adrenal fatigue, suggested by low basal temps. Still feeling my way through all the info on the site, and figuring what to do first, but I had already got the Thyroplex the naturopath prescribed, and yes, I found it pricey, too!!!! I am very apprehansive about taking anything when I don't know what it is... I looked at the 'Adrenergize', for example and am still a bit confused about what's actually in it... can you enlighten me? Is it safe to just launch into it or can there be side effects? Thanks for your advice, > > > If you're shopping at iherb.com >
Guest guest
HI : Adrenal glandulars are basically: Raw tissue concentrates imported from New Zealand are made from toxin-free lyophilized glands from animals grazed rangeland free of pesticides, growth hormones, antibiotics or chemical additives. And since most of the better glandulars use NZ animal glands, you may just find a good glandular where you are in AU. Do you have a health food store nearby? I believe that iherb.com is out of California. They ship internationally so this is a big plus for this company. They ship everywhere and I'm not sure about import tax to AU...but I'm sure one of their customer service people could answer your questions. Guest guest
Thanks for that clarification, Jot. Unfortunately I am currently working and living on a remote aboriginal community and the nearest health food stor is a 7 hour drive, so mail order is the way to go! I will google online ordering here in Aus and see if I find anything and failing that I will order your recommendation from iherb and keep my fingers crossed it gets in ok!
