To me, that's like saying, "I don't have enough food to keep my belly full, so should I stop eating?" Less than the optimal amount is better than none.AnneOn Jul 12, 2011, at 7:01 AM, Janet A wrote:

It's getting pricey with all the supps/vits and Rx that I'm taking. I have hesitated increasing the Iodoral dose since I was experiencing die off reactions from the lyme treatment and couldn't chance feeling worse than I already was and sometimes still am. Should I just stop it until I'm ready to really take the Iodoral to appropriate dose? ThanksJanet

Some iodine is better than nothing. But with hashi's you will have to watch to see if you antibodies go up. If they are then you need a larger dose of iodine because you body is not making iodolipids to put the breaks on the attack. Your entire body needs iodine.

Why not buy Lugol's, it's cheaper per dose?

,Can you elaborate on the iodolipids and how this impacts the antibodies when taking iodine? I've not heard of this before. Thanks,Janet At 02:40 PM 7/12/2011, you wrote:

Great suggestion . Finding a cheaper source was on my list of things to do once the dust settled from a recent move and I felt better. How would I find out the cheapest way to take iodine? Lugol's is already mixed or you have to mix it with something else?Janet iodine From: vbaker@...Date: Tue, 12 Jul 2011 15:16:38 -0500Subject: Re: 12.5 A Waste of Time?

The description is in the Iodine New Members Document - FILES section on the website and was e-mailed to you when you joined. It is from Dr. Brownstein's Iodine Book.
