Guest guest
As I've already noted, the best thing to try before trying anything else for an iodine stain is any kind of Vit C powder. You can crush a tablet, open a capsule, or use powder directly. It converts the brown iodine color to the clear potassium iodide, thus making the stain invisible. You can use it to get Lugol's stains off your skin, around fingernails, etc. In the case of using a lemon, the Vit C in the lemon might do the trick. But the quickest, easiest, and least toxic way to remove brown iodine stains is to convert the brown iodine to clear iodiDe using Vit C. -- At 04:17 AM 7/3/2011, you wrote: >hello.... >before trying anything, try lemon juice... >other things could set the stain in... >i have used lemon juice with results.. >..................................... >I have heard that rubbing alcohol will remove iodine stains from clothing. pj > > > > > > >------------------------------------ > >All off topic posts should go to the IodineOT >group IodineOT/ > > >The NEW MEMBER DOCUMENT (#1 on the list) >iodine/files/01%20NEW%20MEMBERS%20-%20READ\ %20FIRST/ >
