bromine de-tox symptoms?

I hope I didn't double post this---so here's another try and hope this works.

I have been unbelievably drowsy all day and afternoon on dosages of 12mg up to

18mg of Iodoral. Taking Iodoral/iodine feels like a long-lasting sedative! Even

with a good night's sleep, I am a sleepy zombie during the day and afternoon.

Before starting iodine and on only 6mg of Iodoral/iodine I didn't feel drowsy.

Also, any Iodoral at all---even 6mg---makes me break out in awful chin acne.

It doesn't seem like low doses of 6 to 18mg daily(total) of Iodoral would be an

overdose---so would the extreme/constant drowsiness and acne be signs of bromine

de-tox?

I don't know whether to just nap like crazy and see if the symptoms eventually

go away or go back to only 6mg of Iodoral per day.

(As mentioned before---I have AF; use about 10-12mg per day of HC cream; take

1.25mg Estradiol per day for post-meno and progesterone before bed. Have been

using the HRT and HC for several years---only started Iodroral or Iodine about

I welcome any sugestions.

thanks,

J

Are you taking the companion supplements, including daily unrefined salt? Then,

have you tried salt loading? Both of these are found in the New Member document

which is located in the files and was sent to you when you joined the group.

Skin eruptions and fatigue are not an uncommon effect of detox but there are

things that can be done to help mitigate them. For skin eruptions of the face

.... Seems like recently posted about an epsom salt + hydrogen

peroxide paste that can be applied to the face. Might do some searching on the

forum or maybe she will re-post.

1 cup epsom salt + 1 cup hydrogen peroxide baths are used for skin issues that

come along with detox that is affecting the skin.

The doses that you are taking are actually quite low as the current

recommendation by the iodine doctors is 50 mg per day. But there is nothing

wrong with a person going at a pace that their detox pathways can handle!

For me the even worse fatigue, brain fog and flucuating body temps lasted a

first few days on Iodine, and I was not taking the companion nutrients because I

didn't know about them. The symptoms subsided after those few days but I didn't

get any increase in energy until I went up to 50mg, at one point I was at 150mg,

but went back down because the bottle was going too fast.
