Budwig Diet may cause too much of mucuse in the lungs of some people.

Depend VERY much on the quality of cottage cheese.

I agree with you the importance of nutrition in fighting diseases

including cancer. We know, cancer, if it is localized, it can be removed

by surgery. Cancer cells can also be destroyed by radiaiton therapy, but

radiation also kills good normal cells around it. Also, if the cancer

has gone to many places in our body, radiaiton is not very effective.

Fighting cancer is like fighting a war. When a country is invaded by

enemies, it gathers its troops and produces armmunitions to combat the

enemy. But if the country has no resources at all, it is likely that it

can not win the war.

When cancer cells start to grow and multiply, our body is also making

anti-bodies to combat these bad cancer cells. If the rate of anit-bodies

produced by our body is greater than the rate of the growth of cancer

cells, remission of cancer will occur. The opposite will also be true.

Here is where the nutrition comes in. To produce antibodies, our body's

immune system must function properly and it must have the needed

ingredients to make antibodies.

I have refrained from telling the group about a new completely natural

functional health food product with more than 45 nutrients in it because

I don't want you to get the impressionn that I am just trying to sell

Hi Phil;

Sorry to hear the story about your mother. I would not have taken

chemo had I not been in a rather debilitated state when it was offered. I

had just gone through surgery for a cancerous tumor and could still hardly

walk when I agreed to chemo.

I have a girlfriend who was diagnosed with mestastized lung cancer

and given 2 to 6 months to live. That was a year ago and she's still alive

and kicking.

I don't know what the answer is. Maybe a good raw food diet, lots

of laughter (rent movies) and lots of loving friends surrounding. And a

belief that there is more to this then just this earthly body.

i just subscribed to this newsgroup, and sofar i have not read anything about lung cancer.

My mother in law has ..as the doctors put it... terminal lung cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy to stop the growth... meanwhile there are probably some new cancers at the larynx (where the voice comes from..sorry..english is not my language)

i've seen too many false promises...but has anyone any experience with life prolonging alternative remedies?

You wanted to know about natural and if there is anything that will

help your friend. I would love to share this research material with

you. This lady was given a product called Immunocal.

ADDENDUM TO THE LIST OF CLINICAL TRIALS (March 23rd 1998)

This 41 year old women has been a patient at the Royal

Hospital, McGill University, Montreal since she had developed Hodgkin's

Lymphoma. This required both chemotherapy and radiotherapy to her

chest. She subsequently developed pulmonary fibrosis and respitory

insufficiency as a result of her treatment. She was followed by the

hospital's pulmonary service for this deteriorating condition by Dr.

R.J. Kimmoff, senior staff member of the department.

As indicated on the attached chart, her pulmonary function tests show a

progressive and significant decline from Feb/95 to Nov/97 which left

her quite dyspneic and functionally distressed. She unfortunately did

not respond to current treatment modalities. She commenced taking

HMS90/Immunocal 20 grams/day and in six weeks no longer duffered from

her debilitating dyspnea. Objective pulmonary function testing March/98

demonstrated a dramatic return almost back to her pre-morbid state.

This rather extraordinary case will be presented at medical rounds at

the Royal Hopital, and also confirms the hypothesis concerning

the role of gluathione promotion in pulmonary disease including

intestinal fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive disease and
