Guest guest Posted August 2, 2011 Report Share Posted August 2, 2011 I have just come back from my first appointment with an endo , been on levothyroxine for 10 years now and its been increased gradually to 250 . The last 6 months it seems to have stopped working so I was reffered . It took a while to convince him that i did actually take the tablets as if I wanted to feel this way !! . When i asked about Armour his response was he didnt believe in it and said that two doctors were making alot of money out of prescribeing it privatly and one was being struck off , he went on to say that Armour is not tested properly , it is off animals and we all know about BSE etc .. I asked if underactive Thyroid had any connection with the birth control ie the mirena coil as it coincides with my first diagnosis and i had a new one put in 6 months ago , he said he had never been asked that before and didnt think so .
