Guest guest
thought this may be a keeper in files perhaps? NHS Clinical Knowledge Summaries website said if the cortisol level is between 100-500nmmol/L further investigation is required. " Serum cortisol values ARE NOT RELIABLE, as they increase during illness. Guest guest
I don't know if this is relevant as I just stumbled upon this and I didn't understand the whole abstract, but it concludes with: " The possibility of hypoadrenalism must be considered in patients with clinical symptoms and signs, and random cortisol measurements should be carefully interpreted. " http://www.endocrine-abstracts.org/ea/0008/ea0008p81.htm I think it says that the woman discussed had a higher than normal coristol result but she did have hypoadrenalism? > > thought this may be a keeper in files perhaps? > > NHS Clinical Knowledge Summaries website said if the cortisol level is between 100-500nmmol/L further investigation is required. > > " Serum cortisol values ARE NOT RELIABLE, as they increase during illness.
