Guest guest
me and my family are coming to visit grandparents in the US this summer. since learning so much about health in general, things are getting more complicated... During our earlier visits I was not concerned about drinking tap water when I did not know any better. But now, especially having two hypothyroid family members (me and my son) I would not want to drink or use tap water for anything. But then again, I cannot tell my parents-in-law to invest in any equipment just for us, and they are really not that health concious. What do you recommend to avoid chlorine and fluoride as much as possible? Obliviously can't to anything about showering but what about drinking and cooking? What brand of bottled water is good? Does boiling water make the water less harmful? Should we raise our iodine intake (me 50mg, kids 7 and 8years old about 10mg) I know I should not be so stressed up about this, after all it is just 2,5 weeks we will be there... but water is not the only thing I worry about, it's the whole food thing also, totally different from what we are used to.
