Guest guest
Hi, I have an appointment with an endocrinologist next Tuesday which I have to say I am facing with some trepidation!! I've just seen my GP who cannot see any further than my 'mental health problems', and despite just showing her the contents of my constantly blocked and bloody nose, (I have atrophic rhinitis and chronic sinusits), which is no better after 2 recent courses of antibiotics, I cannot convince my GP than any of my symptoms are not purely down to depression and anxiety. I had sinus surgery several years ago and it still hasn't healed, which is a big clue that something isn't right surely? Over the last couple of weeks my heart has been racing, and I feel a pressure as if something is being 'pushed' down in my chest, can't explain it any better sorry, plus my blood pressure is rising. I'm also very lightheaded/fuzzy and feel I can't get my breath, but my GP assures me it's anxiety! All in all I feel very unpleasant indeed considering the multiple myriad of other symptoms I have too. I also have a rising TSH too which I'm told is 'borderline'. I have been diagnosed with M.E. and have completed the symptom checklist and added some more to it as well as including a brief medical history and family history of thyroid/autoimmune issues. Can anyone advise me of anything else I could do to give myself the best chance to get across how poorly I'm feeling. My sister is going with me to the hospital, but I'm still not looking forward to it at all. Thanks, Sheree
